Will we still hear companion banter while mounted?
No. There’s lots to hear, and lots if reasons to not be on a horse.

Hmm... he could just mean that we'll have plenty of time off the horse and therefore plenty of time to hear all the banter. I'm not worried. Heck, you never get all the banter naturally, anyway, and so we all end up watching it on youtube. ![]()

That's actually cool. I like to explore enough that I will probably only use a mount to go from point a to point b, probably.
If I'm honest with myself, I will admit I will try the mount because I want to see how fast I can go and then I'll ditch him and just walk everywhere.
Hmm I can't see myself using a mount during the game then. That's a pretty big disappointment, considering Skyrim was criticized for the same thing (companions can't ride mounts), and having them just "disappear" is just... well, a lot of jerks out there like to use the phrase "immersion breaking," but I think this actually qualifies. Yeah, my horse cantering up out of nowhere, and my companions disappearing? Immersion breaking lol

I agree it's immersion breaking. I was reeeeally hoping they would have companions on mounts, but I can imagine it would be an animation nightmare.
I guess if you wanna play the game real slow and space out all the banter, mounts don't sound too bad anymore ;D
I would wonder how mounts work if you get attacked on one too...do you get knocked off and dismounted then companions magically appear? I was hoping to see another solution other than them doing a magic trick but I guess it's a technical limitation.
Blasted Sera. I don't know about you, but I am not canoodling with a bigot.
I hope that this condition is... temporary.
Maybe the intention is for us to play it the first time sans mount, then have a faster way to whip through subsequent playthroughs. You know... been there, heard that.
Okay, here's the thing: I fully believe Cole was - is - a demon of some sort. A demon of Sorrow or something akin to it.
HOWEVER, if Justice can become a demon, then a demon can become a spirit. I fully believe Cole is trying to be good, thus changing his nature. I am still wary of him, but if he is trying then I am willing to give him that chance. *nod nod*
This is so my own thought process. I believe we've seen several examples of spirits thus far, except they've all been fairly decent. Cole is our chance to examine the other side of the spectrum, to better understand what demons really are. And I think, hands down -- if a good spirit like Justice can be corrupted into Vengeance, then by gosh, a lost demonic spirit like ... Despair or Loneliness or whatever demon Cole is ... can be redeemed into Hope or Friendship.
As for David Gaider possibly writing Cullen...I fully approve if he is. He wrote Zevran, my all time favorite character in Dragon Age. Mr. Gaider may enjoy fan tears, but he also writes amazing characters and amazing romances.
My two favorite characters in ANY game were created by David Gaider. If he wrote Cullen, I will be very, very happy.
I most especially want to see Cullen interacting with Cole, yes!

Or rather a pathfinding nightmare. Given the open world and the fact that the Inquisitor can jump now, I foresee companions "wandering" off a lot more than they ever did in Origins or DA2. As mounts move that much faster, that gives them that much opportunity to get stuck behind an obstacle or sent way off the path the Inquisitor is taking. Chances are, even if they did have mounts they'd be teleporting in for fights or when the Inquisitor dismounts, simply because the AI has to route them while the PC can pretty much plow on ahead.
I hate Merrill, sorry. Her adorableness does not excuse her pig-headed stubbornness about the eluvian. I had just finished a Dalish Mage playthough in DA:O and I cried so hard when Tamlen came back to camp as a ghoul. No FREAKING WAY was I gonna help this ****** restore the thing that killed the love of my warden's life. Duncan destroyed the mirror for a reason. It's evil. And she tryna fix it? Even though literally EVERYONE is telling her it's a really bad idea??
But noooo, Merrill "knows what she's doing". And you're just a dirty shem if you don't help her.
Merrill was cute enough. But if I could've reached through my computer to kick her in the rear, I would've. I was like, "Sheesh, what more of a clue do you need, that this is a really bad idea??!"

Why, yes, meddling with a Keeper whose jealousy reached a pitch so great that she willingly became a pride abomination is a bad idea, but it's not like Merrill knew Marethari's true nature going in. She's a trusting sort.

Jealous? Or experienced enough to know the dangers and seek to protect someone she cared for from them? But Merrill decided she "knew better" and NO ONE could tell her different. Not her friends, not her clan, not her mentor. No one. Because SHE was so much better, so much smarter, so much more powerful ... One might assume it's sheer arrogance. I tend to think, rather, it's a youngster acting from a naïve belief she's capable of proving everyone wrong.
Merrill always reminded me of one of my teenagers, actually. I love them, and I'd do anything to keep them safe. But they still drive me nuts, lol.
So Patrick Weekes is the writer of Cole?Well that was...Unexpected but cool nevertheless....Also he'll definitely join my team,by the way!
Ughh, the anticipation is killing me,I can't wait to see them all interacting with each other and my character interacting with them!

Not liking ethereal beings associated with some of the worst track records in Thedas? Not exactly bigotry.
So speaking of Cullen in particular, has any new info/speculation cropped up?
OK, I was just luring around the Solas thread when this lovely gem was posted. Just watch it. Now. ![]()

And I made one just for Cullen~!
The link isn't working for me. It just goes to the main page.
Why didn't the Litany of Adralla seem to effect Wynne or the Spirit of Faith? Would it effect Vengeance/Justice? Merrill?

Oh geez :x
I fixed it ^3^
