I thought that was the universal English name for it! I just thought cotton candy was the exclusively North American name.

Apparently, in France, the literal translation is Papa's Beard. But I think my French teacher was trolling us.

 

I'd only ever heard is as candy floss until I started watching American TV we used to have a candy floss maker when I was younger, fun times

I love the stuff, but it makes my lips sore and slightly bleedy. So I have to eat it in teeny tiny handfuls making my hands ungodly sticky.

I think Scribbles is going to be our surprise meatballs, someone totally unexpected

I think Dorian is going to be the Eton Mess/many layered dessert because I think his character is going to have a lot of complexity we'll need to unravel, and I think Cullen is going to be the shortbread, sweet, strong, traditional and honest.

No she wasn't, barbe à papa (dad's beard) apparently is the French equivalent for  cotton candy. Although the Greek equivalent it's "hair of the hag"...

I actually don't like eating it but I find it great fun to make I'm like that about a few things, like (UK version) pancakes. I really hate pancakes but I love making them, so when I lived in halls I used to treat my flatmates to breakfast a lot because I'd have decided to make pancakes and ended up with a whole stack of food I couldn't eat

In my framed picture Scribbles arm looks like it's outstretched touching the small of Blackwall's back. Gotta say, that girl has some mighty fine taste in men! Also, Leliana looks like she's staring at Dorian's arse in my picture, also an excellent choice!
