... "Away with the fairies", dear.

Maybe it's the scottish version? *shrugs* cuz my scottish BFF told me that one.

lol, if she's a mage, then it must be just because mages must always be watched. Closely

I reckon she'll just be a normal person with no magic or fighting skills at all. My guess is that Morrigan (who's also a super important character) will fill our npc mage role.

Oh does that mean drunk for you? For us it just means we're off on another planet.

I was told it could go for either drunk or high.

Naw, it means someone is daydreaming and paying no attention to whatever it is they're supposed to be doing, or it describes someone that isn't entirely sane, lol.

Being high sounds more appropriate in this context. Never heard of the phrase before, admittedly

I'm voting Cole as waxed fruit, because he's not edible

I think Scribbles is going to be our surprise meatballs, someone totally unexpected

I think Dorian is going to be the Eton Mess/many layered dessert because I think his character is going to have a lot of complexity we'll need to unravel, and I think Cullen is going to be the shortbread, sweet, strong, traditional and honest.

lol, Cullen is totally a waxed fruit. Just look at his hair! He's a pro at styling :) And also very pretty.

And I learnt to draw on both fruits and Cullen

It can be used for that too. When references someone being high "trippin' balls" or "off their t!ts" is usually the best one, the latter also works if they're drunk too.

Oh good. I thought it was weird it was different in the north but the same in the south and Scotland.

trippin' balls is DEFINITELY not exclusively UK. We say that all the time here.

I'll just have to watch my use of "I'm pissed" lol.

so much to learn! lol.

I get referred to that way a lot  I do tend to be off in my own little world given half an opportunity. But as a country we do have SO many words for being drunk  I was just running through a few in my head and realised a) there are a stupid amount of words for being drunk and B) quite a few of them are really quite rude

"I'm pissed" works for both being drunk and/or being angry, people will be able to tell from the context of the sentence or the tone in which you say it, lol.

Like "I'm pissed as a fart" would mean "I'm really drunk", lol.

Yeah, tripping balls definitely has not made it's way here, that's very American. We prefer pissed, sloshed, rat arsed, plastered and bungalowed, (definitely popularised by Michael McIntyre that one).

Lol rat arsed is one of my favourites. "Mashed" is one that can be used for being high or drunk, same as "mullered" and "wrecked".

Wrecked is the only one I've heard up here. But it's more commonly used if you're exhausted or if you hurt yourself you might say, 'oh that wrecked, that'.

One of my personal favourites  along with rat-arsed, tw*tted (though you could also have hit someone if you tw*tted them) Brahms and Lizst, mullered and so on
