I would be sooo unhappy if an NPC romance was ignored by everyone. And that would cause me to come grumbling to these boards and whine. I hope that, from DA2, the writers realized that we love those little moments, and it makes it feel like the rest of the world is reacting to us.

 

What happens if you don't bring Kaidan with you in that final charge? Does he still get to say goodbye?

 

Before the final battle you walk through the war zone in London, each of your ME3 companions (and Wrex) are there scattered throughout the area getting ready for battle and ordering their factions around etc, you can talk to each of them. If you're romancing Kaidan you'll have a touching little scene together (despite it being a little lacking, but that whole ending was anyway). You'll get to talk to all of them and say goodbye even if you don't actually take them in to the final battle.

I'm starting to wonder how much of a role the Inquisition's major NPCs will have. I imagine most of them can be following us now (not in the party but maybe from keep to keep).

....I got to the end of the PAX panel video and shouted out loud, "Oh SH!T"  Really? Of all places for the video to cut off???? And also during the discussion about "balanced parties." AGHGHGHGGH. (I know it is not her fault, and I thank her for taking what vid she could lol)

Oooh, that's what you meant.   Yeah, I agree, it did suck that I didn't get an epic goodbye with Traynor. I mean, she was more like a rebound fling for that particular Shepard, but still! She deserved an emotional ending beyond that scene with them both in their underwear.

I watched a little of that Mass Effect cosplay panel, but I switched it off 10 minutes in because it's too painful to deal with still, LOL!

So the way the video recorder reported Mike Laidlaw's words regarding the Cullen romance made it sound like a joke, like a funny thing they're just going to stick in the game for the player's amusement. But then again, ML is a very funny guy, so he kind of jokes about everything.

I guess in the DA games it's a little different since the biggest threat is usually in one place... and not smashing **** up on giant robotic legs! So chances are all our companions and important npcs will be in the same area anyway. 

 

I swear though, if I have to go through that giant veil tear to close it I'm gonna start having flashbacks to the ME3 ending, LOL!

Omg Thane's VA was killing it. Someone asked if they ad libbed any lines, and Keith Farley announces that his are "not audience" friendly. That's Bullshit Shepard and I don't want to die were thrown out there, then he did a bit where he told off his son Kolyat and made him go to his room

Presumably he'd have his own men to order around and stuff, so I'm hoping in those moments before the final battle we'll be able to find him with his men giving them a pep talk.

 

Omg, how awesome would it be if we approached him whilst he was giving his men orders and we start doing the usual goodbye conversation etc (like we always do) and then he just totally throws caution to the wind and makes out with the Inquisitor in-front of all his men *Cue wolf whistling and stuff from them*.

 

... mind you, I guess that might be a little too similar to Kaidan's goodbye in ME3, lol. Still, it would be totally hot!
