If Vivienne's is anything to go by, the companion will be announced on this Friday, with the information and pictures on Monday, Wednesday and Friday next week. But I'm wondering if Good Friday and Easter is going to get in the way of this information.

I also liked how the way your companions addressed you in conversation changed as your approval shifted, in DAO. Though I remember finding it funny that Alistairs "In-A-Relationship" greeting was sweeter than his "In Love" highest approval greeting... at least I think that was how it went, it's been a long time since I've played it.
But it's something [the shift in how the PC is directly addressed] I'd like to see in DAI.

"your desire is my command" -> "Something I can help you with, my dear?" (paraphrasing, it's something like this)

Oh! I didn't notice that. I would figure since there are 9 companions the 10nth food would be a temp companion like carver/Bethany or loghain.
This is the Cullen thread though so I'm sure someone has said that already lol!

Didn't the survey or something originally mention 10 companions and now of course Bioware has the whole journey with 9 companions thing somewhere official-ish. I'm hoping against hope that somehow we actually DO have 10 full companions and that the whole advisor thing is rubbish. I REALLY like the sound of everyone that's been mooted as a possible companion this game around.

And hoping against all reason for either Cullen or the GW because either could go a long way to sorting if Cullen is indeed an NPC or companion Though I'm excited for the game as a whole so any Follower info will be happily appreciated, really.

Nicknames/Petnames for the PC:
I... maybe used to switch party member control over and over with the current LI just to catch their special romanced phrases, like how Alistair would say "My love?" or in DA2 I'd click on the romanced companion, a la Fenris with "I am yours..."
I may have even uninstalled a DAO mod because I realized it was chopping out special party addresses...

But.. that's not strange or anything... right? I mean...
...lots of people do stuff like that, yeah?

I think my party gets pretty angry with all the switching I do...until I get a 'my love?' from Alistair, we go no where lol

I wouldn't think so. The business world doesn't really recognize Good Friday as a holiday. BioWare, however, could be different.

Of all the possible companions, I think Solas is the most likely. Then IB, and then Cullen.

I really hope it's Cullen too but I wouldn't put any of my money down on that lol!
A lot of people are saying it's going to be Solas in other threads and if it's him that's fine by me because the we can get him out of the way (I'm sure he will be awesome and I mean no offense!) and then the new companions will always be a surprise on follower Fridays! Unless they release more info about characters along the way . I still really believe Cullen will be a companion but honestly at the end of the day I got the romance I was hoping for even if it isn't a BI one! All is well in the Jungle -I shall just play as a lioness lol!

I still really believe Cullen will be a companion but honestly at the end of the day I got the romance I was hoping for even if it isn't a BI one! All is well in the Jungle -I shall just play as a lioness lol!

Hopefully Follower Friday is this week, would be a wonderful birthday present. And according to Amazon, Masked Empire drops in the UK tomorrow.

Of all the possible companions, I think Solas is the most likely. Then IB, and then Cullen.

 

I'm torn if the Iron Bull is more likely, or Cullen. Hmm. If you take out all the confusion of if Cullen is a companion or not, the I think Cullen would be more likely, because of the deluge of information about him we've gotten in the last few weeks. But, add in that Iron Bull was confirmed as a companion at PAX, that shakes it up a bit.

 

Still, this is all moot, because Solas is the most likely to be the Follower of Friday. Which, awesome! I like Solas. It just does nothing to help with our anxiety. Or, rather, my anxiety.
