To sum up my reactions to the most recent news:

 

Freddie Prinze Jr. as IB? WTF? Well... this could work... HELL YEAH!

 

Cole seems like such a precious baby! But then I think that of all my companions... I won't always agree with their decisions, but I'm really love them all. They are all my babies.

 

Still nothing from the Keep. Bummer. Not too worried about it though.

Congrats on the Keep invites Eric and Chanda!

 

On that note: What are the first world-states y'all are going to create in the Keep? Are you going to recreate your existing saves? Or make a whole new world all together?

Greetings and salutations Cullenites!

 

It's been a stressful week over thisaway in the western of the US of A.  All has been settled and for the best however!  Cancer screenings and questionnaires and all that jazz put me in the average or under category.  Yay!  Oh and I upgraded my computer.  Went from 512 MB VRAM to 2 GB.  Makes me happy.  Skyrim and Fallout 3 both decided they could play on Ultra High now.  (I know, ewwww, FPS).

 

Saw me some Cole screenshots today and he is just so creepy looking!  I mean his artwork looks good, but those eyes man... they are just... there are no words!  I am want!  Gimme now!

 

Congrats to those people in the keep!  It's exciting and I am one jealous bee-otch.

On that note: What are the first world-states y'all are going to create in the Keep? Are you going to recreate your existing saves? Or make a whole new world all together?

 

I'm recreating existing saves, for the most part, because all of those characters (and the choices they made) are very dear to me; however, I am making some changes here and there. The biggest one so far is that my first Warden, Theron Mahariel, did not romance anyone (headcanon that he was in love with Alistair) and did the US. In my actual playthrough of that Warden, he romanced Zevran and slept with Morrigan (GAG GAG GAG... I had no other choice as my persuasion points were not high enough to get Alistair to do it).

 

Here's my first playthrough I will input into the Keep (I need to add way more decisions, but I think I will hold off until I actually get my grubby paws on the Keep):

1. Theron Mahariel: M!Mahariel, loved Alistair so romanced no one, did the US -- EDIT: Forgot to add that he was also in love with Tamlen, so that loss never left him; hence partly why he chose the US.

 

Personality: Not fond of humans, fears them in fact (killed the three humans at the start of his origin). His love for Alistair hence confuses him greatly. He's rather ruthless and quick to anger and pass judgment. He had no qualms about killing Connor, whom he simply saw as a demon, and thus unsaveable. He also distrusted magic and was no great fan of Morrigan.

 

Alistair: rules alone as king

Morrigan: recruited

Leliana: Marjolaine was killed, led an expedition into the Deep Roads

Sten: recruited

Zevran:  recruited

Wynne:  recruited

Oghren: not recruited

Shale:  recruited

 

Killed Connor

Recruited the mages

Saved the werewolves and recruited the Dalish

Bhelen rules Orzammar

The Anvil was destroyed

Genetivi was not killed

The High Dragon was killed

Flemeth was not "killed"; lied to Morrigan

Alistair rules Ferelden

 

1. Nemanja Hawke: M!Rogue, diplo, romanced Fenris, pro-mage

 

Personality: The rock of his family, he loved his mother, sister, and brother dearly. He would do anything to keep his sister free from the Circle and was devastated when she was taken. He always blamed himself for that and for his mother's death. He fell in love with Fenris and handled Fenris' rage and fear of mages very gently and compassionately.

 

The Last Straw: Mages

 

Bethany: Joined the Circle (Friendship)

Aveline: Aveline killed Wesley, married Donnic, remained in city guard (Friendship)

Varric: Did not kill Bartrand, did not keep the idol shard (Friendship)

Anders: Did not kill Ella, spared at the Gallows, helped fight templars (Friendship)

Isabela: Returned with the relic, was defended from the Arishok, Castillion was killed (Friendship)

Fenris: Romanced, defeated Danarius (Friendship)

Merrill: Given Arulin'holm, Sabrae clan killed, Eluvian is created (Friendship)

Sebastian: not recruited

 

Feynriel sent to the Dalish, then to Tevinter

A little of both, for me. I've got two already run through completely and set to be recreated in the Keep (yay notebooks) and I haven't done my 'canon' run, yet, but it's ready whenever the mood strikes me. I'm thinking I'll leave the others to be played later on, so that I can really see how the world reacts to the choices in DAO DA2.

I'm going to recreate my canon/original playthroughs (Aria Cousland the archer and Mercy Hawke the mage) as faithfully as possible, for the most part. I do plan to clean up things like quests that didn't trigger or didn't complete because of bugs the way I would have intended to finish them. I'm also reconsidering a couple of decisions I sort of metagamed.

 

I don't plan on making any major changes in the Keep that didn't come from gameplay, though. Bad decisions and mistakes my characters made that were in-character for them, my Thedas will just have to deal with.

Wow, I would LOVE that -- sadly, I don't see it happening, especially now with the set sexualities returning. I think the writers think it's really important that their characters stay true to their sexuality.
