I'm recreating existing saves, for the most part, because all of those characters (and the choices they made) are very dear to me; however, I am making some changes here and there. The biggest one so far is that my first Warden, Theron Mahariel, did not romance anyone (headcanon that he was in love with Alistair) and did the US. In my actual playthrough of that Warden, he romanced Zevran and slept with Morrigan (GAG GAG GAG... I had no other choice as my persuasion points were not high enough to get Alistair to do it).

Here's my first playthrough I will input into the Keep (I need to add way more decisions, but I think I will hold off until I actually get my grubby paws on the Keep):

Spoiler

And I've got three more where that came from :P

Nice!

It's always interesting to hear about other people's playthroughs. I tend to fall into certain patterns and pick my favored choices over and over...  And I mostly tweak my favorite characters rather than making new ones. So it's refreshing to see the characters and choices other people have made! Our Wardens are very, very different, but that's a good thing!

A little of both, for me. I've got two already run through completely and set to be recreated in the Keep (yay notebooks) and I haven't done my 'canon' run, yet, but it's ready whenever the mood strikes me. I'm thinking I'll leave the others to be played later on, so that I can really see how the world reacts to the choices in DAO DA2.

Personally, I won't need to do any recreating worlds, as I'm staying on the 360 (unless I finally move to PC like I've been wanting to). I'll just be able to import my two favorite playthroughs by the time October rolls around. :)

I spent my day at work today daydreaming about a world-state I've been dying to make, but never wanted to actually play through. It's characterized by very powerful ladies, who's personalities are much different than I usually play.

The Keep can fix save errors, from what I've read; you just have to manually choose.

GO PEOPLE! GO!

I asked for Cullen, character creator and crafting system. I'm dying to see all 3. I don't think we're going to get long hair in the game but if they have the hairstyles they showed in the original models of elves, humans, female dwarf with the braids and stuff, I think that would satisfy me. What worries me is they don't even have that anymore because NONE of the companions have elaborate hairstyles like that.

Dear god I hope these are still in the game. The female hairstyles especially are pretty.

Her Royal Majesty Amalthea Cousland-Theirin, Queen-Consort of Ferelden, Teyrna of Gwaren, Arlessa of Amaranthine, Bann of Soldier's Peak, Warden-Commander of Ferelden and Heir Presumptive to the Teyrnir of Highever.

This title rocks  I do not want to run into this woman. Scary!

FYI I do not think we will be able to import, even if we stay on the same system. You'll have to use the Keep to recreate saves or else use whatever default setting the game supplies.

It worries me, too. I think I'm doomed to short-haired elves. Sigh. It's weird how a game like Dragon's Dogma can have bouncing, moving long hair and yet DAI can't seem to get hair to go past the chin (and it STILL looks a bit helmet-y). I guess hair is just something the team are not strong in.

I'm going to recreate my canon/original playthroughs (Aria Cousland the archer and Mercy Hawke the mage) as faithfully as possible, for the most part. I do plan to clean up things like quests that didn't trigger or didn't complete because of bugs the way I would have intended to finish them. I'm also reconsidering a couple of decisions I sort of metagamed.

I don't plan on making any major changes in the Keep that didn't come from gameplay, though. Bad decisions and mistakes my characters made that were in-character for them, my Thedas will just have to deal with.

You kind of want to clean things up? I get that. :)

In fact, I might have to go back and do the same thing to my canon playthrough (Aescwyn Amell and Keladry Hawke the Mage). Aescwyn was my first character (and the one I'm most connected to) and, while I DID recreate her once, both of her playthroughs were a little messy. The second not so much, but I definitely metagamed parts of it.

But I'm also curious about how the decisions in those games are going to effect Inquisition. I'm not against a little metagaming on occasion...

I'm really hoping Cullen is romanceable by a lady mage, because I'd like to continue the trend.

Yeah, basically I want to get rid of things that happened for reasons other than the character's choices - for the most part for me this was due to bugs. :)

One day I realized just how many titles it was possible to have in Origins and I wondered what kind of character it would take to "catch 'em all!" From there, it kind of took off. Unfortunately Hawke doesn't have as many available titles, but I tried to continue the trend. Makes me wonder what kind of titles might be available to the Inquisitor... and if he/she will be able to still romance Cullen while being the Head Honcho of all Thedas.

(Though I totally made up the "Bann of Soldier's Peak" )

I meant importing directly to the game (I'm staying on the same console), not to the Keep. :)  Though I wasn't sure if that second one was possible or not.

Funnily enough, I really like Sera's hairstyle, with the short bangs and short all around basically, except for the two long strands in front. I actually think it would be cute on a male elf (or human possibly but it is a youthful hairstyle and elves look more naturally youthful). But with straight bangs though because those crooked bangs are aaaaall Sera, and rightfully so!

EDIT: I also noticed that Sera's hair did move a bit in the trailer, which was great.

Will we have long flowing locks like the guy in my avatar, seriously doubt it. But hopefully we will get more realistic braids and ponytails. Those shouldn't clip much, ya know? Especially a high, bouncing ponytail.

Would've been great to have seen just one follower or NPC with long hair, but, nope. Blackwall comes the closest.

I'm really digging that long braid on the Dwarven lady.

Please let it be so Bioware...

I can usually find a style I like in most games, so I'm not too worried.

Isn't it fun? I've held off on editing them until I get the Keep. No sense agonizing over whether I killed this person or set this person free if it's not going to matter in the long run.

Its very fun :3, and I only put the "main" plot points in my little charts (bhelen or harrowmont, DR or no DR , etc) then I put their portraits or else I forget what they look like :3 theres too many!

Watch the Bhelen v. Harrowmont decision not be important, but whether you helped that guy round up all those nugs or not? SUPER IMPORTANT.

ORLESIAN NOBLE: The Empress is known throughout the Kingdom for her twerking. Gaspard challenged her for her title some years ago, but he doesn't quite have the hips for it, you see. [GESTURES TO THE STAGE]

INQUISITOR: I--I, yes. Yes, I suppose I do.

NOBLE: Oh dear, is something wrong with your guard?

CULLEN: [MOUTH AGAPE] [DRINK NEARLY TIPPING OUT OF HIS HAND]

INQUISITOR: [CAREFULLY TAKES CULLEN'S DRINK] Envy. He's very, very envious. [ASIDE] He doesn't have the hips for it, either.

NOBLE: [NODS KNOWINGLY] It's not something just anyone can do. Now, when were you going up on stage?

INQUISITOR: [NEARLY DROPS DRINK] I, um, what?

CULLEN: [STRAINED NOISE]

NOBLE: Did no one tell you? It's customary--this party is held in your honor. You, then, must honor us with a dance. [EYES NARROW] Is this a problem?

INQUISITOR: No, hardly at all! I simply... must stretch.

CULLEN: [EVEN MORE STRAINED NOISE]

NOBLE: [EYES HIM] [ASIDE] Perhaps find yourself a new guard. This one is liable to run you through.

INQUISITOR: [MUFFLED SNORT] I'll keep that in mind.

Maker, that's brilliant.

I sort of want a fanfic revolving around this party now

I'm starting to get disappointed about never getting invited to the keep beta :(

I can't remember what I wrote for a motivation, but it was probably something embarrassing and obviously not good enough to get selected.

Sad, sad panda :(

Considering the amount of sign-ups they got... yours (and mine) is probably just at the bottom of the stack so they've never even GOTTEN to it to read it. Sort of like submitting a manuscript to a publishing house that has a massive slush pile.
