Now I ship IB and Cullen so HARD.

IB only wants to bang those who would survive, which may limit him to Cass, Cullen, and Blackwall. And I can see him going for the hat trick there.

DORIAN IS GAY (I know I'm late, but whatever). A gay companion for the first time in a BioWare game. FINALLY. I'm so gonna be on top of that. In every way.

I would like to take a moment to make a small public service announcement.

 

We, here in this thread, all seem to pride ourselves on being nicer than the norm, and certainly more inclusive.

 

Let's keep that in mind as we discuss today's Dorian news, as well as the in game romances in general, please.

 

We're a little closer to catty hostility than *I* am comfortable with, for sure.

Oh, sweetie. LOL. I am super pouty right now like a child! Now I know how all the guys felt who wanted to romance Sera as themselves! But either way, Cullen will be available for the girls so it's all good on that front because I would literally cry if he wasn't available. Now I'm even more worried about his romance arc because it will be my ONLY romance so I hope it's done well D:

Since we are on the topic of other companions, who does everyone see Cullen getting along with.

 

I think Cullen would get along well with Cassandra and Blackwall. They seem to have a lot in common. He may initially be wary of Iron Bull because of the Qunari thing, but I think Cullen could get over that, and they both have the disillusionment thing going on, so maybe they could bond.

 

I don't see him having an issue with Varric. I could see him clashing with Sera from time to time on specific decisions but I think they'd get along okay overall.

 

I think Cole will worry Cullen a lot, to put it mildly.

 

I think at the very least he'll be side-eyeing Dorian. Cullen might approve of reforming Tevinter (depending on what "reform" entails) but I think the necromancy would be a problem. No idea what he'd think of Solas yet, since we know so little about Solas.

 

I don't see Cullen getting along well with Vivienne. They may both be pro-circle (assuming Cullen's views on that haven't changed significantly) but on a personality level I don't think they'd be at all compatible. She's a manipulator and a game-player, and I think given all that Cullen has been through and how much he's been harmed by deception, he'd have a pretty negative view of that, and I think he'd try Vivienne's patience in return.

Yes, and that's 5, if you count Sebastian. So it's probably 6. I see no reason to make more than 6 budget wise. We know 3 already. Dorian is probably a romance too. I suspect the rest 2 may be revealed at the GaymerX.

I'm actually convinced that we can't predict what Bioware is gonna do cuz it doesn't seem like their following a pattern at all (I think fairness on both ends is not their ultimate aim). I guess it depends on what they feel fits the character best first and foremost before they consider what the fans want. Cuz, let's face it, fans are always going to get angry one way or the other. Just as people wanted to romance Sera and half we're raging and the other half were super excited cuz that takes away one elf from the male side.

I'm not making predictions or anything it's just a haunch,sometimes It turns out I got it all wrong and sometimes I'm right.  
But yeah they definitely don't follow a pattern.

I wish they would've revealed blackwall's sexuality in his interview. These little drops here and there for Sera & IB & Dorian are making me even more ravenous for news! I needs it! Also, yeah, poor Solas. And I need to know if Varric is romanceable tooooo! I REALLY need that chart David was talking about! XD
