Um let's hope not because that's not true at all! Being straight doesn't make anybody less interesting so yeah let's hope Bioware does it good and whole!

 

No, that's not what I mean I write straight characters all the time and they're just as interesting as the others. I mean it doesn't provide much opportunity for storytelling, unless your character lives in a world where straight is not the norm and there are actually penalties for being straight.

 

With a gay character, you can have fun story lines, like Character #1 is heir to the throne and expected to reproduce but s/he loves someone of his/her own gender.

Is/was it bad where you are? People are stranded all over the city. I have never seen flooding like this! I have a small SUV so I was able to run to the store, but there were people with cars who were stuck for god knows how long.

I highly doubt I will be playing a DudeQuisitor. Not even for Dorian. Getting to play a Female Hero...saving the world and all that is just far more important to me.

I can't be tempted away from Cullen on my first playthrough, but if Varric and IB are available then there's a clear incentive to branch out the next go through. That being said, I said that about ME2, and I just can't leave Garrus

Varric, IB, Solas, if any of them is available as an LI for the feminquisitor, after my 1st playthrough i `ll definitely make several others just for them

Hiii guys! I've been really busy the past few days, and I'm late to everything HAHA. I just finished catching up on all the news and wow this thread moves pretty fast! Despite no Cullen news, it's been a pretty eventful week huh? Hopefully we get to see more in the next few weeks! 

 

Congratulations to everyone who got into the Keep! 

 

It's so good to see a confirmation on baby spirit/demon Cole :'3 I love how he looks and I like how he actually looks like a walking corpse reminiscent of Justice/Kristoff . He looks so sad I just want to put him in my pocket like a hamster :'( 

 

Also Dorian is looking ffffffiiiiine. We waited quite a while for him didn't we XD (i remember being pretty confident about him being officially introduced with a picture+quote at E3 but we got a namedrop) I think it's great, wonderful, that he's Dragon Age's first fully gay character. He sounds awesome; witty and sarcastic? I actually like that his moustache seems a little out of place with everything else looking a bit more on the realistic side, the moustache looks a little flat in comparison but I think it's because it's black in colour - but it works for me. I demand to be able to twirl the moustache!! 

 

As for the Bioware fanmeet, yay for Lola and anyone else who will be able to go!! Take pics! I really want to go but problem is I'm landing in Manchester on the day of the event itself. I'm not sure if i'll be able to get down there in time despite it being at night. :<

I should've just PM'ed you because we are discussing this on Twitter. Lol. I'm glad you replied because I took that in the completely wrong way! I thought you meant straight people were less interesting in comparison to LGBTs as human beings. Apologies, Artemis!

Just read the Dorian interview - he sounds super cool!  I'll admit I'm a bit disappointed that I won't be able to romance him as a female character... but! Cullen!  And, I'm still holding out hope that Solas will be really awesome and romanceable. (IB might be fun, but just isn't my type, and I pretty much friend-zoned Varric in DA2... Blackwall might be cool, but, I kind of doubt he'll be a romance.)

 

*Sigh...* Looks like I'm going to have to play a dude!quisitor at some point after all... 

 

But I really am happy for all of Dorian's male fans, both that you got the guy so many of you wanted so much, and to have a gay character included in the game.  Yet another reason why Bioware rocks!

Varric, I would definitely like the option to romance him. At first, I wasn't into the idea, but it's grown on me quite a bit.

 

This whole Bianca thing, tho--it's a bit creepy at this point. He hasn't seen her in how long? The fantasy Bianca is prolly way better than the reality Bianca. And over the years he's embellished parts of her in his memory--and glossed over other parts that weren't so great.

 

 I don't think the real Bianca has a chance against the Bianca built up in Varric's imagination.

 

But if that's what he wants--whatever. If we run into her, she better not do him dirty---or heads will roll.
