I seem to be the only Canadian in this thread that I know of, so far. If there are any others come forward! LOL!
I'm not Canadian, but I lived in Canada for seven years. Does that score me any points? ![]()

Just wondering I heard Necromancers are a type of blood mage...if so I do not see Cullen liking that one bit
This actually makes me wonder about necromancy as a rule, now. I mean, there's a couple questions that comes from the chance Dorian's a necromancer. It seems, anyway, that if he's a necromancer, how come he seems to be leaning towards being "better moral stance" than the average Tevinter mage. At least according to what's written in the profile.
So does that mean necromancers can be "good"? Or is it, rather, that whatever he objected to in Tevinter was just that much more "bad" than normal? Or is it just his personal orientation that everyone objects to?
And seriously, though. Tevinter mages dislike gay guys? Because murdering and draining people's blood for magic use is okay, but gosh forbid you're gay? Just another reason to shake my head at the complete insanity of Tevinter, personally.
I think it says somewhere that homosexuality is okay for the slaves/servants in Tevinter. It's not so much as 'it's bad' rather than you are expected to continue your blood line if you are of higher class (i.e produce children) and have an arranged marriage. ^-^

Hopefully Dorian will be successful in showing that not all Tevinter citizens are bad and maybe even get those power hungry magisters who take power as soon as they can get a hold of it see reason. Watching the Dorian thread talk about how he could lead a movement against Tevinter really got me liking his character.
I could also see an ending where you as well as characters like Blackwall, Cullen, and Cassandra joining this movement once they find that Dorian is not so bad of a guy
Of course this is my opinion based on speculation going around him.

"What I find most interesting is that, despite the lack of open discussion on matters of human sexuality, there is commonality to be found on the subject in all Andrastian lands.
Typically, one’s sexual habits are considered natural and separate from matters of procreation, and only among the nobility, where procreation involves issues of inheritance and the union of powerful families, is it considered of vital importance. Yet, even there, a noble who has done their duty to the family might be allowed to pursue their own sexual interests without raising eyebrows.
The view on indulging lusts with a member of the same gender varies from land to land. In Orlais, it is considered a quirk of character and nothing more. In Ferelden, it is a matter of scandal if done indiscreetly but otherwise nothing noteworthy. In Tevinter, it is considered selfish and deviant behavior among nobles, but actively encouraged with favored slaves. Nowhere is it forbidden and sex of any kind is only considered worthy of judgement when taken to awful excess or performed in the public eye.” - From In Pursuit of Knowledge: The Travels of a Chantry Scholar, by Brother Genitivi
Found it (finally!).
I'm Canadian, I don't mind the stereotype at all. lol

Nope! I am also Canadian!
Someone else is too...can't remember though c__c
So, something in Dorian's profile today struck me as a possible point of contention with Cullen.
"He enjoys using his magic and doesn't see any reason why he should be ashamed about it."
This makes me think he could be casual about using his magic, which is kind of the opposite of how a Circle mage is conditioned to keep it under tight control. Given Cullen's concerns about the dangers of magic uncontrolled, I could see him having a problem with this. Like I imagine Dorian using magic for incidental, mundane things all the time, like to brush his teeth, or warm his tea, and that constantly sets Cullen off.

Me too! I'm in Vancouver.
Dorian uses magic to make toast. Cullen freaks out. I laugh.
I love this game lol

Those are fantastic! I'm thinking I'd like to make a cake/cupcakes in honour of DAI on release day - I used to do cakes professionally.
So in the last two days this post of mine has appeared again and is getting reblogs left and right. I love it. XD

Also in California! Los Angeles to be exact.
Heritage-wise, I'm mostly Irish, English, Scottish with some French Canadian and Native American somewhere in there...
Yes indeedy
I'm actually concerned at this point that once I get into the Keep, I'll be like... Well this isn't all that impressive...

Still find it extraordinarily twisted, as a perspective.
