I think Cullen will have be on a Thursday/Friday. Just because I think they'll release the GE interview to coincide with his info dump and a video's a sort of Friday thing.

I agree, I just don't think it will be next Friday. Although it would be really awesome to see some Cullen next Friday! (because someone has a birthday next week, and needs strength to survive the relatives and their friends)

 

 

So how are you going setup your party? Who's tank, DPS and healer? You have any hybrids planned?

I will probably make mage Quizzy a controller/supporter/healer or a DPS, if there is a better healer, and he/she can behave (I'm looking at Dorian and Vivienne, who will sit in the comfy chair if they can't be nice to other team-mates). Solas seems to be my only hope for a likable mage for now Cassandra will be a tank. I don't see anyone else with a shield, so I'll make her my stone wall. Rogues will be Varric and Cole, depending on who is a better lock pick I will be rotating party members to hear the banter, of course! But I want a team where people are nice or at least polite to each other, so I will pay attention to who gets along with who. Honestly, after DAII I don't have the patience for the fights. Bullies will be getting a comfy chair and no adventures! ​  And no cookies.

I'm a nightmare player too, so it will be harmony and balance in my party.

Depends on my quizzy, I always try to keep my parties balanced but I still end up rotating too and still mostly having my favs XD So far I think I will switch between Iron Bull and Cassandra as tank/dps hybrid, Dorian/Solas as healer and Cole might be my main rogue

Not ready to plan until I get more info on the some of the specs and abilities, but I think in one playthrough since friendly fire can be toggled, I will have an all mage party on nightmare with the strategy "drop them before they can even get close".

The first time I played Mass Effect it was funny, because I picked infiltrator (it sounded cool, and I had no idea what biotics were) and all these characters in the game were telling me what a fantastic soldier I am, and I was like... umm, really dude...?  Clearly you were not watching

I don't agree that it would. We've only seen him show attraction to one specific person (the female mage) and no indication of his sexual preferences at all in DA2. Maybe the male mage just wasn't his type. I don't see why he couldn't be bi. It wouldn't really change anything about his character that I can see.

Well, I wish Dorian could've been bi. At least just so that I could romance him with my preferred Inquisitor because I don't like role-playing a guy. The only reason I played a Tristan Hawke was because I was going for platinum and had to have Isabela come back, and at the time I thought that could only happen if you romanced her, and since my canon is that my ladyHawke's true love is Fenris, I made a male for her. And I played as a male in DAO in order to romance Morrigan so that I could get the trophy for her, but those are the only times. I don't like it unless I have to play as a guy in order to get a trophy. If Dorian's romance has a trophy, that's the only reason I'd roll out a dudequisitor.

 

Plus, just seems like the romance options are getting slim.

I'm really worried now that Dorian is out for a ladyquisitor because Cullen is only a NPC, and I try to tell myself to have faith in Bioware's writers that they will give Cullen's romance arc the passion, heartfelt, sexy, meaningful story it deserves and won't be lacking, because he's probably the only guy I'll romance in this game. Unless I just get so bored of romancing him that I romance Solas or Blackwall just for the sake of my sanity and variety on the way to platinum. Sighhhh. Dorian was the only other guy I was interested in. However, that may change once we learn more about Solas. To be honest, I'd rather romance him than romance Blackwall. Don't hit me! *hides from potato cat since if i remember correctly she likes blackwall*

I can well relate to your feelings Except I also live in fear that I won't get Cullen, either. I don't enjoy or feel comfortable romancing a male character with a female character; it's not what RPGs are about for me. Knowing my only options for romance could be the characters I like least (Dorian and Solas) is heartbreaking. And not getting Cullen is, well, a knife to the metaphorical gut, really.

I wouldn't say it goes against everything he is in the past two games at all .

In the second game his sexuality isn't even really addressed and in the first he has a crush on one specific character. It doesn't mean he couldn't potentially be attracted to men, it just means he was attracted to that one individual at that time. Also often times when a person grows older they start to realize more aspects of their sexuality. It is entirely possible as Cullen matured and his views and life experiences changed he may feel more comfortable with the idea of a romance with another man. Being Bi in no way degrades or lessons his character and it certainly doesn't change who he is as a person. Sexuality isn't the main defining feature of an individual. He can still be brave, loyal, dedicated and devout and still be attracted to both men and women. Being Gay, or straight or Bi isn't what "everything a person is" it's only ever a part

Lol well Ricky Martin, Neil Patrick Harris, Matt Bomer, Marlon Brando, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie and hundreds of other gay and bisexual men are very, very popular with girls so I don't think thats the best line of reasoning. Also I am a gay man who is almost always assumed to be straight because of the way I act and the things I like. That doesn't make it so
I understand your confusion about bioware ratios- believe me I totally get that! I'm not saying that Cullen is absolutely 100% bi without a doubt. I am saying however that he could very well be and that as far as the games go there isn't any evidence to say that he ISN'T. That's all.
