What's interesting is that there's only Leliana and Cassandra up there. If Scribbles and Cullen are also the face of the Inquisition shouldn't they be up there too?

TBH, this doesn't surprise me that much. If the Inquisition was Justinia's Plan B, then it makes sense to me that Cass and Lel are calling the shots. I could see Scribbles and Cullen being part of the administration, but not necessarily leading it.

We're ostensibly the leader, but initially, I could see us being at least intended to be more of a figurehead. I mean, it's not like we're democratically elected or we earned the position, you know?  We're probably being used for our special Fade hand. Heck, maybe that's why we have pillars to help us "run" the Inquisition. I  mean, it's a pretty big jump to go from Cassandra considering you the only threat she sees to letting you lead the whole organization. So anyway, it's a conundrum I've been considering.

I agree on the fade hand being the reason. It would not be so smart as to put someone you have no knowledge of as the head of such an organization. Perhaps in the beginning of the game we somehow prove our worth as a leader?

That's a really interesting theory. With those (or either of those) at the lead the Inquisition could've taken advantage of their popularity in certain groups to close the war peacefully.

I could also see this. That what they really need is a Name at the head of the organization. If they just needed someone who could lead... seems that you've got Cass or Lel or any number of folk.

Yeah, I guess they are/were the right and left hands of the Divine so it stands to reason that they'd be the ones calling the shots at first. Still, I'd want them to be up on stage with my Inquisitor since they're also the face of the Inquisition.

I suspect Cassandra presumed that she'd be the leader of the Inquisition... I bet she won't be keen on handing over the power.

I would LOVE to see this.

But you know... I always sorta figured Cass for being the practical sort. That she believes in the Chantry and Maker, but when it comes down to it, she's about getting sh!t done. I was sort of intrigued by her being called 'the Believer' in those twitter reveals.

Well, she wanted Hawke to appeal to the mages/templars (depending on who you sided with) to stop the war. So, I guess the Warden would be used to stop whatever it is that's going on with the Wardens currently.

I guess that makes sense. Maybe depending on the side that Hawke chose will be more strengthened as a faction because Hawke is their "battle cry" if that makes any sense. The warden though, he has been gone for a while yet and with how mysterious the wardens have been acting in DA: 2 I guess they wanted to know what was going on as well.

That's pretty much my guess at this point, the Inquisitor is initially placed as a figurehead for the special tear-closing hand, but has to earn his/her position as the plot evolves.I'd like that scenario better to be honest than be immediately viewed as the "holy chosen one" etc..

I guess her being the believer would be quite an interesting twist, especially since on the face of it she's a real hard bastard. We know she's quite the secret romantic, so perhaps she finds herself really looking up to the Inquisitor in some way or another.

Yeah, good point. I guess that's a side we'll see more of during the game. Like her  hero crush on Hawke.

Still... I guess, I dunno, I guess I was headcanoning that that was a way she'd be different from Cullen. That she'd be the realist to his believer. Heh. Guess not.

I wonder if they'll even give the advisors a title like that? You'd think that Leliana would be the believer, if that was the case. Unless she'd be "The Retribution"

Good point. Hmm, if Lel's hardened in DA:I, maybe it is something more like the Retribution, the Avenger, or some such. For Cullen... I just hope it's not something cheesy, like the Lion. Or the Beefcake.  :P

This why discussion like this make even more curious about how Cullen's personality has evolved.I kind of expect him to be more "cynical"for lack of a better word this time and he has good reasons to be.

Could be. I was thinking something like, the Fallen, if he's been kicked out of the templars.

It makes me wonder what Cullen will think of the Inquisitor initially.

Will he think it's a bit suspect that we just happened to be at the peace gathering when it blew up and conveniently got sucked into the Fade leaving us as the sole survior? Will he think we're the "chosen one"? (Like I suspect Leliana will), or will he have no concerns either way and is more interested in closing the breach by any means necessary? I'd hope he'd at least be curious enough to ask us a few questions.

I think Cassandra is called the believer for a reason. I suspect she will be the one with absolute trust in us. Leliana will probably be depressed about Dorothea, and will be like, "yeah, yeah, whatever", and Cullen, I think, will be sceptical and mistrustful, he will be giving us a stink eye, and ask tricky questions about what were we doing last Friday at 8 p.m. and who can confirm our alibi?

Also love the neurological stuff here. I think what R2 was talking about is called retrograde amnesia? When you don't remember what happened before the trauma, but remember your childhood and other stuff. I personally don't think it will be an amnesia. In one of E3 things something was said about wanting to make a character like in Skyrim, so I think it will be like playing as an Orlesian Warden in Awakening, and maybe we will have a couple of dialogue options to define some key points of our Quizzy's life. For example, Cassandra will certainly ask what were we doing at the peace gathering, and we will have a dialogue wheel with choices. The game will remember our choices, and maybe will react to them later.

English is confusing. In finnish you can't use past tense when speaking about something that is still happening XD

Future Perfect Continuous is my favourite, I totally don't get it  I'd rather conjugate a bunch of verbs in the craziest of ways 10 times.

I have been wondering something. What do you think Cullen will do after the Inquisition's job is done or if he got kicked out of the Inquisition for some reason?

I would say he could work on rebuilding the templars and emphasizing their codes on how to treat mages.

I reckon he'll either stay with the Inquisition because now that it's been reformed we'll have a job to do even after the Fade Breach is fixed. Or, maybe he'll want to go back to the Templars (if we side with them) or form something similar to the Templars? Maybe we'll get to encourage what he goes on to do ala Sebastian?

Personally, if I have the choice he's staying with my Inquisitor within the Inquisition.
