"The One You've Wanted To Bang For 3 Games" ?
MY BODY IS READY!!!

So anyone looking to celebrate the remaining 100 days til Oct 7, there's a kinda cute meme on Tumblr.
http://acrossthedas....gon-age-updated
Dunno if I'll be able to keep up with all 100 days, but it'll be fun trying.
That's intriguing. It's definitely the Seeker symbol on it though, but at that point when the game first came out we still knew next to nothing about Seekers in general.
Yeah. That's what made me SO CONFUSED. Inquisition? Seekers?
Though in all honesty they could've changed the symbol right after that.
On the one hand, I want her to make some sort of snarky comment. But on the other hand I don't want the Amell/SuranaxCullen thing to be made a big deal of now that my Inquisitor can romance him.
This Morrigan talk made me think of something someone said in the chat of ya'll's podcast yesterday about Cullen being Celene's new champion, and that's why he was wearing the lion helm.
My immediate thought was, "BULLOCKS." (or something like that.), but then I got to thinking about it. (This may be my downfall in many aspects of life. It was all good till I started thinking about it. *grin*)
If Morrigan is working for/with Celene, at least on the surface, then maybe Cullen was/is too? Or maybe at the point in that trailer were we see him and her together...I don't know, it makes me head hurt, and I can't make it make sense.
So the longwinded point I am trying to get to, is do you think that has any merit at all. That, at some point, for some reason, Cullen would either be, or pretend to be Celene's champion?
I really hope they don't use the amnesia trope. I am also hoping we aren't the ones that actually caused the breach and turn out in a twist to be a creature from the Fade.
I remember them saying that it's not a story about someone becoming a leader (like the Warden), it's about the organisation, we are already supposed to be used to leadership. So picking up the reins will be about building the organisation and gaining trust from a familiar position. That tells me we have a backstory and we did not come from the Fade.
Could we do something like this here? With a lean towards Cullen?
Pretty please?
Actually, they said our story is about becoming a leader/being a founder. The Warden wasn't a leader, he/she was someone who joined an organisation that was already well established. The story of the Inquisitor, however, is about being the leader of the Inquisition. We're the top authority in this order, and that's not something we've been before. ![]()
I actually wouldn't have anything against being a fade denizen personally, just so long as my Inquisitor doesn't die or end up looking like a zombie... or having to go back into the fade. I want my Inquisitors to stay with their LI. ![]()

I don't personally see it. At least going from what we know so far. There's just... no reason for Celene to make Cullen her champion and no reason for a boy from Ferelden to want to be her champion. If it was something to do with the Divine, however, that might be different.
Thoght I would share what I have so far
:
Varric/Cullen (with Cassandra present)
Cullen: Why are you here Varric?
Varric: *Humph* Should I be somewhere else? Perhaps you would prefer it if I was in the Chantry begging the maker to forgive me.
Cullen: Although that would be more preferable, no, I meant why are you in the Inquisition? Even in Kirkwall I could tell that all you care about is telling exaggerating stories about you and Hawke's adventures in the Hanged Man and behaving rather inappropriately with that pirate that um... gets around.
Varric: Well I could tell you that I was in no position to refuse with Seeker here scaring the living crap out of me, but I know the stakes Enforcer. I would rather not have the sky pouring demons on us. If that weren't reason enough it could be really because I was bored. The Carta did not appreciate what me and Hawke did to an expensive amount of men so let's just say I would rather be here then somewhere else having to look behind me everytime I take a step.
Cullen: A fair point. I know very well how it feels to be paranoid of everyone around you.
Varric: Now don't be getting all soft on me Enforcer. I'm sure you have better things to do like telling a soldier to get you some swords sharpened or something.
Cullen: Now that you mentioned it my sword could use some sharpening.
Varric: Just don't ask me to do that and we'll get along fine.
Cassandra: *annoyed tone* Varric...
Varric: Alright fine. Jeez some people can't take a joke.
I don't see any reason why he'd be over in Orlais doing that, but 1. it's a cool theory and 2. I think I'm going to be surprised by whatever he's been doing in the time between DA2 and DAI unless it's leading the Chantry-loyal Templars, so the fact that I don't see a reason for it isn't a good reason for me to believe it won't happen.
As for last night's main conversation topic, I think one nice thing about Cullen not being a companion is that I'll finally change up my party and try to use everyone almost equally. I'm expecting to like Iron Bull the best out of the warriors (or possibly Cassandra), Sera best out of the rogues (unless Varric's new angst makes him really interesting to me or something), and Dorian best out of the mages (plus his apparent support-type magic will complement my DPS magic). But at least one of the companions I expected to like the most in DA2 wound up my least favorite by a mile, so who knows. (EDIT: So that's Team YOLO, right? Sounds good.)

It's nice banter, but I don't think Varric would be that antagonistic. He's not the type, unless someone is antagonistic towards him (like Carver was) or if someone does something horrible (like how he was angry at Cass over not saving the village). I... don't think Varric would make a gay joke like that, either. Not with that kind of tone, I would hope. It would completely put me off him. ![]()
Their armor was actually had Inquisition in it's name if I remember correctly from the mods.
Mmm, do you know where you saw this? To my knowledge the only overt mention of the Inquisition in DA2 is the unused heraldry file with the Inquisition logo. Cassandra's in-game armor is actually called Seeker armor by the artist in the DotS making of video.

Oh sorry you didn't like it. It's cool. Yea Varric is pretty hard to write banter on because you expect him to say the perfect things at the perfect time and with the direction they might take him I expect him to be a little more...agitated because he might have felt forced to have joined instead of choosing.
Edit: As for the joke I was trying to find something that would end the conversation on a sarcastic note so as to involve Cassandra as well as to point out Varric's preferences. Guess next time I'll make things more fitting with Varric's personality.
I think time travel via Fade might be an option here
The Inquisitor is a Shepard who took the green ending. Semi-confirmed rumour. ![]()
Bad jokes aside, it's an interesting thought and theory! I imagine the armour, however, was picked just for the trailer rather than being the actual armour we start in. It's better to make everything look impressive for the advertising, right? I would hope we wouldn't be spoiled that much by a demo too.

It's alright if you don't agree, and I understand getting the 'voice' of a character can be difficult. I just thought I would try to give a bit of constructive criticism where I was able. I'm a fan just as you are, though, so I can only judge by my interpretation of the characters. I don't know them like the writers do, of course. ![]()

Thanks for the honesty. Constructive critiscism is always welcomed ![]()
Is that Morrigan near Cullen when he is wearing the lion mask? Huh?

I also enjoyed reading....Interestingly enough , I didnt pick up any antagonistic tone or the gay joke. Sounded like typical Varric to me.

That would be interesting! Does her champion need to be Orlesian, though?
That would be interesting! Does her champion need to be Orlesian, though?
Not necessarily, though I highly doubt Cullen would willingly serve the Orlesian Empire, even if he does leave the Order behind.

I admit I've thought about this possibility too ever since the lion helmet. The open question would obviously be why he would ever be tied to the Orlesian court, but there are things that we (most of us, anyway
) don't know, so there still could possibly be some explanation that makes sense.
Not necessarily, though I highly doubt Cullen would willingly serve the Orlesian Empire, even if he does leave the Order behind.
Does seem like a weird thing to do. I don't think he'd be her champion, he'd be more inclined to go straight to the Divine than mess around with Orlesian politics.

I think time travel via Fade might be an option here, too- the Inquisitor's armor he just drops out f the fade with seems. . . convenient. The scene with Dorian urging him through the portal, party members dying all around you. . . you were sent back to get help before Hell is truly loosed.
Doubt it. I don't think Dorian would even know how to facilitate travel through time. That's magic far beyond any mortal mage, amulet or no.
Not necessarily, though I highly doubt Cullen would willingly serve the Orlesian Empire, even if he does leave the Order behind.
I wouldn't think Celene would have reason to pick Cullen, either. He hasn't really done anything that would catch her attention in particular, I don't think.
Edit: Well, not that we know of, anyway. ![]()
