Does seem like a weird thing to do. I don't think he'd be her champion, he'd be more inclined to go straight to the Divine than mess around with Orlesian politics.
Indeed. I could see him serving as the Divine's champion though.

Doubt it. I don't think Dorian would even know how to facilitate travel through time. That's magic far beyond any mortal mage, amulet or no.

I think Cass would have her "B!tch, pls" face on over that. ![]()
As for last night's main conversation topic, I think one nice thing about Cullen not being a companion is that I'll finally change up my party and try to use everyone almost equally.
I agree. I have certain ones I'm leaning toward using more, sure, but I don't feel as obligated to keep a specific person in my party all the time for RP reasons or because I'm afraid of missing out on some banter (because I'm a bit obsessive like that).
I do hope though that the Keep will have ambient convos like the ME3 Normandy did. Where your companions/advisors hang out and visit one another. There was a bit of that in DA2, which was nice, but I'd like to see more of it, especially since the advisors won't be traveling with us as much as our companions do. I mean, how cool would that have been at the Origins camp? I mean, you had the Dog convos, sure, but what if you got to walk into a scene where Alistair is attempting to help Morrigan with the stew, or where Leliana is telling a story to Oghren and Zevran with them interjecting?
Team I Will Pull This Inquisition Over Right Now if You Don’t Stop
I've never heard the theory about him being Celene's champion before. It would be pretty cool and fits with the lion mask. I wonder how a knight captain from Kirkwall would end up working for the Empress of Orlais, though.
It seems far more likely to me that Cullen is in the Inquisition already, and that's why be becomes our general, then the theory he's Celene's Champion. And people are forgetting that the Inquisition military side's symbol is already a Lion
.
We don't strictly know this. We know we've seen one keep with a lion on it.

Perhaps him standing up for Hawke against Meredith brought him some attention, though if not that then not a thing comes to mind.

It's also likely that those change based on choices we make in game. That keep might have ties to Celene- Gaspard might have his sigil on any keeps associated with him.We don't strictly know this. We know we've seen one keep with a lion on it.
Yeah, I meant to write 'it seems'.We don't strictly know this. We know we've seen one keep with a lion on it.

If Celene's Champion is Cullen though, why would he join us, expecially if we might side with Gaspard?
I don't know. If he really is her champion one could imply that if you sided with Gaspard he could leave. Though I don't really see advisors leaving, companions sure, but advisors. I doubt that.

That's one reason why I don't believe he's Celene's Champion. Another is that I doubt Celene would take a Fereldan as a Champion.I don't know. There is another connection with the word "lion".
"Emprise du Lion: Emprise du Lion is a snow-covered area home formerly occupied by elves. It is also the location of several ancient elven ruins including a large keep and coliseums surrounded by hot springs which have attracted dragons in recent years. The Inquisition will be drawn to Emprise du Lion after the Red Templars occupy the area"
I think the not-wrong-yet leak implies that Cullen is more pro-Gaspard than Celene as he suggests siding with him. Bear in mind though, it's here the information starts getting a tad dubious, iirc.
Yes probably wise to wait for clarification before assuming.
Indeed, I wouldn't put much hold to that part of the leak (Gaspars was Celene's sister there, and it didn't seem he was against her).I think the not-wrong-yet leak implies that Cullen is more pro-Gaspard than Celene as he suggests siding with him. Not really. It was simply a military based keep, opposed to one based on expionage or commerce.
How long have you worked for Bioware?
A quick pan or an image of one particular keep is hardly enough to go on either way. It's likely that the lion is the war symbol - but until there is confirmation, everything is valid.
It's an interesting idea! I would hope we don't have to advertise our allegiances, though. I hope we'd be able to choose a neutral stand too. GDI, Anders, I want my compromise back! ![]()

This makes some sense, actually. Or could.
Christ, the not-knowing is kinda killing me. ![]()
