I don't think you'll regret it. Cullen's a good man, with a strong sense of duty and a great voice. He is also apparently going to sing at some point, and the devs seem really excited by his romance scenes

I have never done gay romances but I am going to give Sera and Dorian a try, for the experience and variety

It's cute to me the way he talks about the ladies of the Blooming Rose. Not the fact that he is embarrassed, more the fact that he talks about "Ladies"...
Also the way he talks to Keiran's sister, this "Miss" he adds carefully at the end of his sentence when he proposes to reward Hawke himself.
He is a real gentleman.

I'd pay $5 extra if Blackwall's available but I don't think he will be. Cass would be nice too, but I'm pretty sure she's straight. So I'm flip flopping between taking a chance on Cullen or playing mInquisitor.

I'm pretty excited about the Sera romance. Apart from Cullen, that's the only romance I'm looking forward to. Assuming we can't romance Varric there's no other male character than Cullen I'm really interested in romancing at this point.

 

I think Sera seems like a pretty awesome character. If Viv is available for a romance I'll probably try that romance out, too, but I'm not counting on her being a LI.

I wouldn't rule Blackwall out just yet, at this stage literally anyone could easily be a love interest... except Cole, lol.

My preference list went something like this:

Dorian
Blackwall
Cass/Cullen
Vivienne

Which would be slightly less of a problem if I wasn't fangirling fInquisitor's voice big time. But as long as I'm not chopped liver next to f!Amell and he doesn't have a crisis point that makes me do something I really don't want to, I think Cullen and I will get along fine. Sam's probably my favorite ME LI, so the non-campanion thing is no big deal.
