True, the not-knowing is just... painful lol I distract myself with trying to get excited about my character, the CC, the friendships he'll form, etc.
My preference list went something like this:DorianBlackwallCass/CullenVivienneWhich would be slightly less of a problem if I wasn't fangirling fInquisitor's voice big time. But as long as I'm not chopped liver next to f!Amell and he doesn't have a crisis point that makes me do something I really don't want to, I think Cullen and I will get along fine. Sam's probably my favorite ME LI, so the non-campanion thing is no big deal.

Did they? What did they say? I'd say Dorian is a shew-in; if he's revealed as gay, he's clearly a love interest. Can't imagine a companion having his sexuality revealed and then not be romance-able.

Oh, cool. I think the devs tend to think a lot is "obvious" to us, and that's why they don't tell us stuff!!! Or they underestimate how important it is to us.

I'm happy for this momentous occasion, but at the same time very sad because my male characters will have, possibly, one option. It's DAO all over again! Oh, well... maybe if I can do a head swap on xbox I'll try Dorian's romance

Mostly I want somebody I can imagine a future with and won't have to babysit. Who has a vision for how things ought to be. That is going to treat me fairly well (that is, I probably won't be stuck in the Thedas version of Twilight again, Cullen's namesake aside). Who's reasonably responsible and doesn't visit whorehouses or taverns at all hours. If you play ME, I'm basically shooting for someone like ME1 Kaidan or ME3 Garrus. And less like Anders and Al, which were pretty miserable experiences. I posted more or less the same thing in the Cass thread, but it occurred to me I might be describing Cullen.
Pretty much sounds like Cullen. I have to agree with everything everyone else is saying. He's pretty level headed. Responsible, he has to be. He was a Knight Captain and is now an Advisor. So that means he has to know what he's doing and has to be able to make important decisions. As for the whorehouse or tavern, yeah I don't think that's his cup of tea. He was and probably is still really mature, just kind of shy when it comes to those matters. I think he'd be your best bet to be honest.

I actually was going to point that out myself, but I didn't want you to think I was making light of your anxiety, which would def not be the case.

I'm old-ish as well.lol.. me, too! My two oldest have moved out, and my youngest is 14. Probably says how old I am, but I only occasionally feel 80..

Right, I think if jtav is looking for a Kaidan-like love interest, Cullen pretty much fits the bill. A mature man, a soldier, a man who will question your decisions, who may share his demons with you if you're close enough, but who won't pour all his troubles out onto your shoulders. It's funny I never really thought about how alike they really are!
