I know about siding with the templars via the conversation with Gregoir. I just thought it might be fun to actually agree with Cullen since it won't screw over my game.

Just curious, who is complaining, Artemis? If you meant me (which maybe you didn't but just to clear the air here) I was adding sarcasm onto my slight anxiety over these gosh darn romances. Of course I'm over the moon about Cullen! It's just that with every companion reveal, the feelz get more intensified over needing to know more. I wish I could be an empty shell of emotion but I can't. It's Bioware's fault! They make amazing games and get me hooked! I need my next dose of Cullen asap. D:

Yeah, we do need some substantial Cullen info.  I'm starving for it.  I keep telling myself that it won't be long now...that it can't be long now, but wow does that not help at all.  I still get the feeling that if they even show the advisors (which surely they will, right?), Cullen will be last even though he is already fairly well-known.  Idk.  I hope I am wrong.

As much as I love surprises,I'd certainly be bummed,mainly because I originally thought that Cullen will only have a cameo and I'd be pretty much convinced at this point.It would be a pleasant surprise to see him actually being an advisor and a LI,though.

Seriously.  Considering the way it all happened, it could be.  If it's the case, you're right, we owe Greg a debt of gratitude.  I cannot imagine not knowing whether or not he's an LI, or that he has the huge role he has.  Wow.  That would be torture.

Is Solas Dalish or city elf? He looks Dalish, but a Dalish wouldn't need to be self-taught right?

A lot of people complain, and so do I. I honestly don't know what kind of anxiety one could have though if a player is planning to romance him with a female human or elf inquisitor; it's 100% confirmed (he's not going to be gay lol). Race-gating? I can't think of any reason to race-gate Cullen, but it could happen. So if you have your heart set on romancing him with a qunari or dwarf, I can definitely sympathize greatly with any anxiety. There's been no word of class-gating, but again, I can sympathize with any anxieties on that account if you're planning to romance him with a mage.

 

I will just be honest though, people complaining about him not being a companion or not getting to see his face or him being their only desirable romance option just makes me grit my teeth. I have emotions, too and it sucks to be in a position where my character may have NO ONE to romance, nothing, nada. It may be a case where I don't even feel like buying the game because these beautiful romances are the reason I got into this whole franchise in the first place.

 

In the future I wouldn't mind chatting via PM if something I've said bothers you. I never intend to hurt anyone with my words, and am always happy to explain my case 

 

It's just a really tough time for me right now as a Cullen fan, so I'm sorry if something I say comes off wrong, bitter, or hateful. Not my intention at all.

Yeah I never saw him as Dalish. Am still getting over my disappointment that he's not Tevinter but I figured he was something of a farm boy or perhaps an orphan or... definitely not a big city boy, and clearly not Dalish. The clothes suggests he's been supporting himself for awhile now.
