So I've been playing Guild Wars 2 to pass the time and forget about Dragon Age for a while, and I get a quest from a guy with Fenris' voice. Then on the way to the quest location, I pass a group of wardens, one of whom is named Rhys. Then I get to the quest location, and it's called Morgan's (close enough) Spiral, where I end up fighting alongside another player named Leliana Aeducan. WTF GAME. Ugh, anyway any new news today? Have they said whether or not they're doing the advisors next?

Ah, yeah, I saw that on tumblr. Sooo lovely. Almost too lovely. I guess I have this picture in my head that Celene looks like Tilda Swinton now.

I know this feel! It keeps happening to me. There are a few characters that I swear are voiced by the same actor as Carver.

This one NPC starting talking an I was like "Wait....is...is that Duncan?" so I googled it, but I don't think it was this game likes to mess with my head

And, another reminder from the past. Now it seems the similarity of the outfits of Scribbles, Cullen and Leliana really does mean they're different. Heh.

It also bothers me that the female Norn is Aela the Huntress D: but anyyyywayyyy....how bout that Cullen? Any update on the VA video?

Which is strange, because in his last scene, Cole no longer seemed to have one. But how in hell does organic mental development mean anything lasting for a spirit who has no such concerns? Not that I wanted to romance Cole, but I find the revulsion toward any romantic feelings towards him to be irksome.

 

It's really pointless to try to argue about it because Cole romance fans will be demonized no matter what. I agree; it's irksome.

[FISTPUMP] Called it!   Man, that was just a few months ago, too. Picking over every picture and statement, trying to figure out the likeliness of Cullen being a Follower vs a Specialist. Memories.

Admittedly, my initial "OMGNO" reaction came from DG's tweets about Cole's mental state, and his reactions to people wanting a relationship with Cole. (I have yet to read the book. I should get on that.) Before that, though, I will admit I was intrigued by a possible spirit-entity romance. It's really the only way I see them slipping in an asexual romance without people getting overly angry or mean. (The response to Sebastian chaste romance did... not inspire confidence in me.  ) DG has since clarified he meant in relations to Asunder!Cole, and that Cole has changed since that time. Whether he's changed enough to have informed consent, or be capable of recognizing romantic desire within himself are entirely different things.

I'm wondering how likely it is we'll see Cullen tomorrow. The thing that's making me wonder about it, is that there are three days to fill. If the Specialists are as important as the Devs have been trying to sell us, then you'd think that they each would get a quote-pic plus a blurb one day, and then a writer's interview the next.

 

Cullen, however, also has a voice actor video. That's three days worth of material.

 

Do you think that makes it more likely that Cullen will be revealed tomorrow, or do you think the Specialists will have less of a reveal than the Followers do, and thus require less time?

 

I'm happily settled into the 'It's gonna be awhile for something on Cullen' camp, because that keeps expectations low. But I am curious about everyone else.

Even though we aren't having a celebration for 2000, I think I may try to get a fanfic ready by then that I've wanted to write for a while. Not sure if Cullen will be in it though, we'll see.

My thoughts are that they are going to stretch out what they are going to show us. The whole "all these different people/departments have to sign off on what is going to be shown a specific day", thing has me thinking that companions had a block time for info, and now they will cool it for a bit, till after Comic Con.
