I was hoping the specific approach would prevent him from giving a vague answer. I was trying to coax him into actually telling us when he's next into the studio/if he's finished recording Cullen's lines. The trick is to play dumb, be specific but subtly sneaky. That's how I find out secrets!

*Why did Cullen agree to the Right of Annulment?

Cullen is a Templar who deferred to the orders of his superior, but he does express his doubt and discomfort at who he currently believes is in the wrong. This includes outright questioning the use of the annulment entirely, comparing it to the Ferelden Circle -  which was a much more dire incident than Kirkwall's.

 

This is further emphasized during a scene which is only available if the Templar side was chosen. At this point in his life, he sees his duty as a Templar to both protect the general populace from mages, but also protect the mages themselves. He even goes so far as to order his subordinates to listen to Hawke over the Knight-Commander herself – to which they comply.

Sadly, I cannot get DA:O to work anymore since I last played it about a year or so ago.  And no help with tickets.  Maybe I'll throw in DA2 if I'm bored ...

The templar side is still very lenient and has a good outcome if you so choose it. You'll find out some stuff about the other side that makes them as damning as the Templars. I love that.

So, I'm re-playing DA2 because I'm a masochist, and love torturing myself. I always get this amazing mental image of Aveline chasing Anders around with a giant sign that says "DON'T!", per Varric's suggestion. Does anyone else ever get that brain image?

You want to talk about torture? I've been playing a whole new round of DAO, DAOA, and will do another game of DA2 with those imports in prep for more Inquisitor fun.
