Yeah, looking back at the higher-res original one you guys are right, there's Cullen's breastplate and then something else with dark spots resembling eyes and beard below it.

Man, I'm going to have to block Twitter, Tumblr and the forums until like 6PM tomorrow to keep from refreshing all day for Scribbles or Cullen.

I' happy they're doing the advisors . The hood is a bit strange as CuriousArtemis said, but overall I really like her outfit. Still think she's the most attractive character in DAI.

All right, guys, as some of you may know (I’ve mentioned it before, but it was a long, long time ago) I’m currently working on an article about female gamers and modding. This is an academic article and will (hopefully) appear in a book featuring other essays on similar topics.

 

I really need some input from ACTUAL gamers, and yes, I may quote you in the article (with your permission). You would not have to supply your real name, but that is preferred (but again, you don’t have to). If you do agree to participate, I’ll verify my own credentials and even send you my LinkedIn page so you know this is legit.

 

If you’d like to respond, please send me a PM indicating which number below corresponds to you and what you do:

 

1. I have created/helped create a mod related to romance (i.e. a marriage mod, a companion mod, etc.)

 

2. I have created/helped create a mod not related to romance. (i.e. environmental mod, texture mod, etc.)

 

3. I have used a mod related to romance.

 

4. I have used a mod not related to romance.

 

5. I identify as female and I am a gamer.

 

6. I don’t fit any of the above criteria, but I am interested in giving you my thoughts nonetheless.

 

In a couple weeks I’ll get back to you with some questions. I’m only looking for a couple quotes from people, so don’t think you have to write an essay in response to anything I ask (although you can if you want )

 

I will repost this message here in the thread a couple more times in the next few days. And hey, this technically is Cullen-related because I KNOW there are Cullen mods out there, and yes, I absolutely want to hear about them!

They revealed Leliana, and posted a picture with a caption that said "Meet the Advisors," which means Cullen will probably be soon.

Nothing new, other then a confirmation that she is/was the a Left Hand of the Divine (I don't think any official media ever addressed her as such).

Am I the only one who was a bit salty that they revealed Leliana first.... Because it wasn't really a reveal? We know her the best out of all of the advisers. I'm guessing tomorrow we will get an interview about her character instead of another adviser.

The thread moved rapidly for about 10 pages while I was out for a couple hours, and that was BEFORE the Leliana reveal LOL!

 

FYI, to anyone wondering... the thing I'm working on will NOT be demonizing or making fun of female gamers/modders in anyway; it is actually about how female gamers EMPOWER themselves as players by creating and using modded content.

It's just almost unbelievable that we've actually come this far. I can remember joining the Cullen 2.0 thread when it was just 32 pages long and the place was practically dead, we all figured that we'd be lucky if we even got a cameo or small codex entry about him. We've come A LONG way, and while Cullen isn't a companion like we wanted, he's so much more than we expected AND we can bloody romance him at last! It gives me heart palpitations too, lol!

 

I may not be entirely satisfied with his new DAI model, and despite the fact that I still have concerns that his romance and story arc may not feel as fulfilling as the companion romances/story arcs, at the end of the day it's still Cullen and it's still Greg Ellis voicing him. When it boils down to it I know that the minute he opens his mouth and speaks those very first lines of dialogue to my Inquisitor I/she is going to be smitten. 

 

Missed this earlier, Lola...but woah, when you're spot on, you're SPOT ON.  I wasn't here through all those early days, but I was all on my own in my misery, wondering if I was the only one.  It was a revelation when I found this place.  And now it really does feel too good to be true, knowing how freakin' close the moment of truth is, and that we really are going to be able to have those conversations and hear him say those things that we've waited for all this time.  It's going to be incredible.

Not really; it's a good way to catch everyone's attention and gear us up for the other two adviser reveals.

Nah. It kinda goes along with them revealing Cassandra and Varric. Plus it adds to the anticipation. The very very annoying anticipation.

Honestly, even if I can't romance him? This. THIS. Getting to speak to him and get to know him better... it's going to be so wonderful. I'm really going to fall in love with this character, I just know it (even more than now). I truly can't wait.

Out of the three I'd have preferred to have Scribbles at first, but I suspected we'd get the advisors in the Leliana/Cullen/Scribbles order. Plus, while It's not probably relevant, we had the least four characters shown being male, so they might've decided to show a female one for this reason .

Nah, I'm a console gamer mostly so I rarely mod any game, so I'm really probably not the best person to ask about this sort of stuff.

I guess it's probably just a good thing that the advisors each get their own little blurb rather than having them all lumped together as an "And the rest..." like they did with the original Gilligan's Island. (Poor Professor and Mary Ann didn't get props until the next season. ) 

 

Plus we still get the GE video at some point! Weeeeee!

I must say, Leliana looks a lot better. She looks older in these pictures, unless it's just me, and more like how old she's supposed to be. And she sounds awesome! Justinia does sound worryingly Marjolaine-ish though, albeit a much nicer version. I'm going to be so sad for Leliana after the Big Boom.
