I'm happy enough to provide a bit more of an explanation (though detailing exactly how a situation has been dealt with isn't likely to happen very often, since it is flirting with violating the site rules, feeding the trolls, etc.).

I suspect I should have posted something more like "Pruning thread to remove violation of site rules and references to the same."

 

Certainly, I didn't intend any offense with my remark about off-topicness. It's just that this thread (and ones like it) tend to live in a fairly grey area and my (too pat) response of "Please bring this thread back on topic." seemed out of place.

 

Thank you so much for your response and explanation We just wanted to support our friends and were shocked at what had happened to them.

 

We do go off topic... I know. But it's what happens when a fandom has existed so long and has come to be made up of such great people. We have actually tried to combat that and created an off-site chatroom for us to hang out in. So, see? We do try

I' agree with BevH on this,in the lore anyways spells are capable of changing sb's eye colour as an effect of the vast amount of energy channelled into the mage.

Adrian from Asunder is a good example since her eyes became red/fiery when she casted fire-storm...Maybe they implemented this in the game as well.

Can I just say that would be so cool. I like all the effects. That one picture of Solas' hand being warped-looking due to the magical energies surrounding it was really awesome so more is definitely better.

Thank you AlwaysHungry!!!  So so so so so so much for the update  I made it home and was squeeing and spasming with glee, because those pictures of Leli look amazing!  Especially the backgrounds!!!  I was like I just can't even!!  (Deep breathes... calms...)

 

Anyhow, I made it back alive.  And just in time for the fireworks show that is over at the amphitheatre we live near, so my children are quite excite, and I get a chance to actually look at pictures and stuff!  Awesome job Bioware... Awesome!

 

Now, to figure out how to repay you!!  I must do something fantastical just for you!!!

It could be either-or at this point. I'm hoping for writer interviews, but I'm betting the Advisors only get the pictures plus blurb, just like Morrigan. Which I'm fine with--I can't wait to see some in-focus close-ups of Cullen. Be nice to finally get his actual face.

Sorry if I made people think new stuff was revealed... Im more excited for the advisors than the companions... I'm a little on the strange side.  Besides Leli being revealed means Cullen must come soonish after!  A girl can dream right?    That's probably why the squeeing so much really over Leli - other advisors to follow haha

 

Also, the interiors look amazing.  I like the outdoorsy stuff, but we go camping a lot, and sometimes, I just like to see some paintings you know?

I think the sad root of it, is that to be considered a "fangirl" for liking an attractive (seemingly straight) male character, you are automatically considered a "silly fangirl", and it gets very irritating when some people just handwave and eye roll away your likes/wants/wishes/desires based on the negative connotation that goes with that title.  So, I guess its a kneejerk reaction to be defensive about it.  

 

It's like, even if I am a fangirl, does that somehow invalidate my opinion? The whole thing is so sexist on it's face.

I'd say that I'm equally excited for both,but it is well known that I have a soft spot for a certain blond (ex)templar whose name starts with C,so the fact that he gets a proper introduction is even more exciting for me!

Exactly!The term "fangirl" is considered degrading by most people, mainly because it has the word "girl" in it and according to some mindsets,being a girl only consists of squealing and swooning over attractive males,whether fictional or not.
