I don't know. It was "a" right action, but on its own, it wasn't nearly enough to make up for everything he'd done thus far.
Gotcha. Yeah, I can see that.

Aahh, good old first playthrough...So many memories of epic failures!
Caladrius the Tervinter slaver from DA:O? I 100% disagree with your notion. Caladrius had something to gain from enslaving the Elves, he was an out and out opportunist and stood to earn money in doing so. The only reason he tries to make a deal with the Warden is to save his own skin. When Cullen joined the Templars he was young and naive, it wasn't because "wheeeeey, I can make money locking up and killing mages! Best. Job. Ever!"
I do remember him saying something along the lines that he only wanted to be a knight, when the warden finds him in the pink prison...
This sounds like fun! Um, romance cinematics, anyone??

Some days, my job is basically when you're a kid and you pretend your dolls are kissing.
I wonder if it's Cullen.
...
I fee like one of those seagulls from finding Nemo.
"CULLEN? CULLEN? CULLEN! CULLEN!! CULLEN?"

And yes. I'm making up my own VO as I build the scenes 'Oh, Inquisitor, I want to SMOOCH YOU' *makes kissing noises* 'YES I LOVE YOU TAKE ME
These guys are having far too much fun. ![]()

LOL Isn't there a funny Alistair comic about that, him and his dolls? Aimo maybe?

Yeah, that was cut content though so I don't think it counts unless he says it again in DAI.

(edit: BTW, I love your sig! Talk about underrated heroes...

I see the business of the Templar Order as being inherently corrupt or at least harmful, and Cullen went along with it even when he knew what harm it did.
I don't think he did though...he truly believed in what they were doing. He never really doubted the order just Meredith.

Some people simply lack the ability or the inclination to perceive what the right thing actually is; perhaps he falls into that.

Yes, I know I've seen that! ![]()
"YES I LOVE YOU TAKE ME, *Robert*"
Was driving me crazy when skimming all this yesterday. Now I know what it reminds me of... ![]()

Hmm interesting, now I'm even more curious about his pre-circle background hopefully we'll get the chance learn more about his past this time.

Even if he says it in canon, I don't think it would make it "I want to kill things, WHOO"? A knight is about protecting the people, defending the innocent, rescuing damsels! ![]()
Another quick FYI: Vivienne's Follower Friday announcement happened around this time, so if they're going to do an early announcement because of Good Friday it might be soon-ish. Keep an eye out!
"YES I LOVE YOU TAKE ME, *Robert*"
Heee!
"Kiss me, *ROBERT*! Kiss me like I've never been kissed before!"
"Say my name!"
"*ROBERT*!"
"Again!"
"*ROBERT*!"

I don't think I'll be able to take the name *Robert* seriously anymore...

I think he knew what the right thing was... eventually, perhaps deep down he always did. He seemed to second guess himself a lot via ambient dialogue in DA2 and he did also mention that after his ordeal in Ferelden he'd promised himself never to second guess the Order again, so to find himself second guessing things again was probably a bit of a head-****.
Sometimes it takes an extreme situation to get a person to take action and come into their own.

That too, lol.
