Okay, don't lynch me, but the lighting here, and the angle that his head is at... It's not really doing him any favors. It makes him look super scary, but his eyebrow nearest the light is washed out and he just looks odd. He looks, very un-Cullen. It's just this one picture, the other pictures are amazing.

 

Exciting news today, holy cow! I seriously thought Scribbles would be revealed first. I agree with this statement though. If I'd simply come across this "meet the advisors" image, I would not have recognized it as Cullen. I can attribute a lot of it to the lighting though. Even so, while the other pics are handsome looking (and I seriously love how his hair texture is so much more realistic) the still pics aren't really giving me the old Cullen vibe and that makes me a bit sad ...

Cheesy comparison time. I feel a little bit like Belle at the end of Beauty and the Beast and I haven't had the "It IS you" moment that I'm sure I'll have once I see and hear him in motion.

 

The blurb about him is amazing though. I cannot wait to converse with him and find out what he's been up to since Kirkwall, as well as what we're in for next. Not waiting for others to act? Gettin' things done like a BAMF? I'm super excited to actually play this game!

They show Cullen. He gathered the remained tempLars in Kirkwall to restore order, and his leadership and integrity lead Cass to recruit him.
Additional, Gaider commented on tumblr on a can blurb on Cullen (where he recognized his errors in Kirkwall) as accurate. Check it out his tumblr if you want .

Hey, does anyone remember who drew the concepts for DA2 and released them on a blog of theirs not too terribly long ago? Like it showed what the original concept drawing of Merrill looked like and the other companions? I can't remember if it was Matt Rhodes or Nick thornborrow? I tried to Google it but I can't find it. Thought I had it bookmarked!

You know, I'm really feeling the new 'empowered' Cullen vibe so much that I don't want to see him in need of rescuing.  I kind of think that *this* time Cullen can kick all the arses himself!

That's what I've wanted for Cullen. This entire backstory is exactly what I wanted for Cullen. He's strong on his own, before the Inquisitor came along, and Cassandra took him in to make the Inquisition stronger. [SIGHS WISTFULLY] Oh, he's all grown up.

The thing is, they said that you can hate the person you're in a romance with, and they can hate you. Sort of like a "dirty secret" romance. SO maybe that evil, angry look on his face is "I hate you, but I want to bend you over this table right now". 

 

This is the first thing that I have read that has made me hopeful about a Cullen romance. After his change in DA2, it looked like they were going to go for a hurt/comfort romance in DA:I. Maybe now I can get my incredibly screwed up relationship where he's conflicted about my mage character.
