You know... there have been several multi character DA calendars out there. How interesting would it be to have twelve different DA fan artists contribute their version of Cullen?? A girl can dream!
Oh. My. God. That would be AMAZING.
Ok as much as I hate it when ppl attack other ppl. You know what I hate as well, when ppl copy someone's art work and put no credit to the original artist in the description. I'm all for learning, go ahead and copy something, but if you're gonna post it...credit the original artist. That idea was theirs and they should be credited with the thought process...end rant.
I just noticed that he still has the Templar insignia on his gauntlets. So he's still a Templar of sorts? I wonder what he thinks about the rebellion?
I actually really love that detail. He's always stuck with his beliefs no matter what sh!t he went through. Even when he struggled, he struggled for what he believed the templar order could, and should be. Now he's doing what he can by actually leading others. He's still going to be respecting the chain of command with the Inquisitor and possibly Cassandra, but I hope we get some good scenes where he really challenges decisions he doesn't agree with. I also loved that bit in his description about doing it for the people of Thedas ... good stuff.
And is it just me, or does our man age well or what?!
He does a reverse Mickey Rouke or a regular Benjamin Franklin. Either way, I'll have what he's having.
Cullen being part of the Inquisition would suggest he disagreed with Lambert's defection, since the Inquisition is initially part of the Chantry.
For players who elect to go through the story with an apostate, I'm wondering how he'll react to a mage becoming the Inquisitor (since it's technically a violation of Chantry law to wield that kind of power) and how he'll respond to the protagonist siding with either the mages or the templars.
This would be my suspicion as well. However... there are no Circles anymore, as Lambert disbanded them. So I'm very curious to see how apostates are being viewed. I mean according to the old definition, every mage is an apostate in 9:40.

I'll take a double double of it.

Did something happen, Vamp?
Man, I just poked my head in some other threads and... grrr... how much I hate it if I read "Cullen is fanservice".
I would not object to the idea of someone producing and selling a Cullen Calender for next year
What's your flavor of the month? Cullen is, twelve times a year
I like the way you think
.

Nope, not just you. He is a handsome bastard - like wine - the older the better. LOL.
This is the reason for my rant. I have no prob that the person wants to copy something to better them self, or they just love the original piece. But the problem is, it's not theirs....
Ah, I see. The original was a very lovely piece of work and yes it should be credited.
I was kind enough to link the original artwork in my msg to that artist. argh.

Agree. I always figure that, no matter what happens, or who holds the pink slip on the Templar Order, he'll always be a templar. How cool would it be if he's not even officially a templar anymore... but he still wears the insignia? Because that's what he believes in.
Is he romanceable by all? He let slip the wonderful mage-warden, I hope he won't do that mistake with another mage again! ![]()

It is currently unknown what Cullens sexuality and race restrictions are. ![]()

^^^^THIS! It what he is at heart, it's where his beliefs lie and even if he isn't working for the order he will always be a Templar, couldn't agree with you more. I can see him holding onto something that reminds him that.

His sexual preference hasn't been released yet, but I personally hope that he is bi-sexual so all his male fans that want to romance him get to have him as an LI too ![]()
I suspect Cullen will be going by how a mage uses their power. I think he'll still be ruthless toward maleficar but an Act 1 Bethany type, he'd consider an ally. I do expect a little "open mouth, insert foot" around a mage inquisitor, but just because it's an odd situation.
Yes and no. He was always awesome with Hawke. Even mage!Hawke. But then... you know, DA2. It'll be interesting to see how he views someone so clearly skilled and in control.
Holysh!t! With no mention or explanation...? Vamp, do you know agregor?
I know the artist's work yes.
I'm thinking of msging him about it.

Thanks! Umm... A bit worrisome... ![]()
I have a feeling that we'll find out Cullen's sexual orientation, and how he feels about other things, (at least a little bit) tomorrow when his writer's interview comes out.

I'm FINALLY back from July 4th family festivities, and this is what I see
(Not that I was expecting anything, honestly.) It's funny though how one small blurb about a character can suddenly renew all your lost hopes.
SOOOOO Let me talk about how I've been waiting 2+ years for THIS VERY ANNOUNCEMENT, and when does it come out? On July the 4th. When I'm out all day.
I guess it would be inappropriate to squee and flood the thread with reaction gifs at this point
*kicks the dirt*
