I really doubt Blackwall's a LI, especially after the "kids these days" comment. He seems to be more like Wynne than anything.
Plus he gives off a mentor-figure vibe, and it would be nice to not have a Grey Warden romance three games in a row lol

7.James DAMMIT LET ME LOVE YOU
~Edit cause I forgot Varric...sorry varric! :3
I. Want. A. VARRIC ROMANCE!
I meant he sees the world differently. I think Solas will be like Anders in the sense that he loves the Inquisitor for who they are and does NOT care about gender.
Wouldn't that kind of work for all the DA2 love interests though, not just Anders? They were all playersexual.
I think you can see the world differently (not in black and white) but still be straight lol Being bi doesn't mean you're necessarily open-minded. It's just your sexual preference.

*EDIT* for ToP Cullen.

That's how I picture Solas, too. He seems genuinely open with his mind and how he sees things. I can see him being bi-sexual for sure.
So, between this and his line about the qunari in DA2, Cullen clearly has issues with followers of non-Andrastian religions. How would you expect this to be brought up in DAI, if at all?
WE. ALL. DO.
Why won't they let me love him? QQ
If by "optimism" you mean "anti-psychotic medication", then yes.
This almost made me spit take. And me without my likes! LOL
I so don't!WE. ALL. DO.
I think according to the full conspiracy theory IB and whatever other options (presumably Vivienne) are race-gated extras that were added later.Yes, that's a very interesting theory! So IB would perhaps just be a fling?

I think, based on the blurb from DG's tumblr post, that Cullen is realizing that he doesn't know half as much as what he thinks he knows, and he's going to learn to be more open to other people and cultures. He's still going to do what he thinks is right, but he'll do so with a far broader viewpoint than what he once held. Things will not be black and white to him, he will see things as shades of grey. Does that make sense?

This is something we've talked about a lot recently, and I'd say the jury is still out on how prejudiced he may be against non-Andrastians. The Oghren comment could have been Oghren-centric... or maybe not. It would be a cool thing to come up in a Qunari or dwarf romance with him, since his faith seems to be a big a deal for him.

That's a good point.
Right now I think it's Cullen, IB, Sera, and Scribbles for women and Cass, Dorian, IB, and Scribbles for men.
And I want Blackwall. I just don't think it's likely.
That would be a terrible roster.

I'd say a Dalish would have it be even more important. Or maybe he's racegated to only take humans.

I suppose so.
I am late to the party with the reveal, but how you doin', Cullen???

Exactly. The minute I read the Patrick Weekes interview...it just seemed obvious. I'm looking forward to romancing him. He seems interesting.
I think Cullen is going to be the F/M romance and the one inquisitor he wont romance will be Qunaris.
I think one of the reasons he's likely going to remain straight goes back to Origins and how he only flirted with female mages.
Its disappointing but this is Bioware. I will adapt since I plan to try all of the romances. ![]()

Hmm, I guess I was thinking he'd done the elf thing already (um, no pun intended), but Dalish is a bit different, I suppose. Huh. I don't know. I doubt calling your sweetheart a godless heathen would help the romance, so I would guess either it's a non-issue or addressed in someway as part of the 'getting to know you'.

LOL! Sorry, just picturing trying to flirt with Cullen as an Elf or Qunari, and him freaking out and calling you a godless heathen. He didn't seem to mind the female elf mage in Origins!

I really don't want to get into this argument again. To condense it into one sentence: Just because Cullen was attracted to one specific female mage (the f!warden) that does not mean he is automatically straight.

Which once again brings up the subject of Cullen/ Jowan and Cullen/ Anders shipping. ![]()

Yeah I agree with that, maybe he just wasn't attracted to the male protagonist. His sexual orientation has never been disclosed so any preference can be up for speculation.

LOL. Relationship Hurdle #1.
Then Relationship Hurdle #2: Satinalia at his parents' house or Ancestor's Remembrance Day* at the Inquisitor's? LOL
*or whatever they celebrate. According to berelinde, DG says there are no canon feast days for the Dalish, dwarves or Qunari.
Fifty pages until we reach two thousand guys! WHOOP WHOOP! ![]()
We are a freight train.
Well, I'm going for Bi until proved otherwise. Cullen love for all. ![]()
If some among us must be disappointed, let's put it off for as long as possible. ![]()
