Is it just me or did they change his eyes from hazel to green?

 

Yeah, it's a bug they are having problems with. Just like Leliana's eyes were brown instead of blue in her recent shots

Anyhoo... I promise I'm not trying to troll. I'm really not. I personally am not as attracted to this Cullen's character design as I was to his DA2 design.

 To me Cullen still looks similar enough. If you compare frostbite Cass to DA2 Cass and DAO Leliana with frostbite one they have changed as well for the new engine. I think it just takes time to get used to new look especially if you were in love with earlier one. But at the moment I like DA2 Cullen's looks better as well. I just think I need to give his new looks more time :3

Ah well. I have faith in Greg Ellis' amazing acting performance. As long as he gets the personality down, I'll give the romance a whirl. It's apparently a really huge romance arc. But still......I miss that DA2 design. 

 

Compare him to his Origins model and he looks like a really different person! lol For Cullen though, it's always been about his personality. (for me) I know that once I see him in action with Greg Ellis' voice he'll feel like the same guy again. ATM, I'm still looking at him with a bit of "who are you ...?"

I totally loved Anders from Awakening vs. DA2 Anders. It grew on me, but still.

Anyway, I don't know - I think the one thing that is super bad for me is he looks like an ex of mine. lol. Bad associations. He didn't look like that in DA2. Something about the overall shape of the face and the eyes/nose/mouth. Beyond that, the scar is meh. I don't dig scars. I know there are people who wet themselves over scars - I don't get it. I'm not that kinda person. But that's ok. The scar isn't a big deal

In his other pics on the webpage, he looks villainous, like a man who is not supposed to be an LI but rather an antagonist. lol he just does not look "dreamy" to me. It's not a big deal. I love Greg Ellis. I have faith in his acting abilities. It's just a video game - like I should care what a character looks like, you know? It's not real life. But on a critical level, if I were to ask myself if this Cullen is attractive - I'd say no. If I ever saw this dude IRL, my eyes would pass right over him.

 

I hear that! We don't all find the same things attractive. Everyone is different in what they find physically pleasing and there are heaps of people that find his DA2 character far more attractive. In RL I would jump him though I'm not generally into blond guys. Each to their own I say!

Ah, yeah, there's quite a few people I've seen having problems with characters looking like ex's, or siblings, so I understand that. Hopefully GE's acting will be good enough to get your mind off of it.

Long time lurker, first time poster.

 

I can see the differences & similarities between both DA2 & DAI Cullens and I think they're both attractive (though I'm still prefering the DA2 atm).

I think I'll like the others and once I hear GE's voice and get to "chat" to Cullen I'll end up loving the new model better.

 

Never been a fan of Anders, not sure why but I understand why others like him.

 

Really looking forward to the game's released, a good bit more now I believe!

I never liked Anders much either, the whole "I would bathe (or was it drown?) us in blood to keep you safe" was a bit of a turn off for me.

Across the board I'm loving the textures and the look of what frostbite three has done for all the characters. There were some seriously scary hands and ears in DA2. I can forgive a little less curl in Cullen's hair to have it actually look like it might be hair

 

I guess I'm gonna just imagine that a tiny bit of that patchy stubble can be his mole. That way he can look a little more like his old self. I had a funny thought that Morrigan stole it off him
