I haven't visited Cullen's thread in a week and as a result I have 150 pages to read

Does anyone else find it quite strange (but nice) to see Cullen looking so confident and less worried? Feels strange to think that he's still kinda awkward (if Mike Laidlaw's comment was anything to go by!)

 

 

Not really, it's a little different but in a good way! I think it gives him more depth to his personality...Cool and collected warrior who kicks booty but gets all clumsy just by the mere presence of a beautiful woman.   It's been done more than a few times, but it never gets old that's for sure.

Ladies and gentlemen, Shutterbones is the one who opened the very first DAO Cullen thread on BSN! It was called "The Broken Templar" if I remember right. Back then Cullen was loved by a bunch of Amells and Suranas, and hated by pretty much everyone else, because he wanted to kill all the mages. So this lady here deserves some cookies for her courage! She also creates amazing and badass Cullen art

I'm sorry I can't catch up on this thread properly. I hope we poked everyone who asked to poke them in case of Cullen's reveal. I hope Kirrahe1 saw the pictures too.

Cullen is badass, isn't he? He probably kept Kirkwall from falling into chaos and anarchy for 3 years. And that makes me really curious about where did the Red Templars come from if everything was ok in Kirkwall under Cullen's rule (mental image of Cullen on the Iron Throne - damn hot!). Perhaps Meredith's corpse was not hazardous, maybe red lyrium deactivated when she died or something. Or maybe they got rid of her, and that's why they weren't affected. I can't wait to hear what Cullen has to say about that and his 3 years as basically a viscount.

Not really. He might still be awkward in certain types of conversations.
I'm really interested by the fan blurb that Gaider said it's accurate, since it seems his development after DA2 is what I was expecting.

Simply saying "he is not good for it" is not good enough. For a civil conversation to take place about this, both sides need to be seen and discussed. Please, elaborate and discuss your perspective. Present your argument against Cullen, so that we may present our argument for Cullen, or return to the proper thread for that discussion. 

 

Guys, you're in a thread that for Cullen discussion and they are giving reasons. I think y'all are being a bit hostile, as well. Settle down and let Cullen be discussed. Just remember that people can have an opinion of Cullen that isn't the general consensus on this thread and that's okay

I personally think Cullen is a great option for the Military Advisor. He's been at the heart of two mage crisis' in two seperate places (it's like fateful or sommun) so he has a good grasp of the possible tragedies that can occur. Then again, he became quite ruthless in DA2, and although he did overcome it and realise that his unwavering faith was skewed... who knows? Could he go down that path again? He never hated mages, but he treated them like rabid guard dogs. I'd be really wary of him because his lawful character could be corrupted. Then again, the fact he isn't affected by Red Lyrium (or is that because he doesn't use Lyrium?) shows his strength.

 

I'm not too sure how I'll treat Cullen in-game. I think i'll be cautious and try not to take him on mage missions if I can choose not to.

I know people in real life who are total BAMF:ers, they are intelligent, very confident in their work and have loads of talent. When they interact with others they are confident and are charming. But then... When it comes to love matters they get so shy and awkward you would not recognise them.

Yep) a brown haired blue eyed Dalish mage. I hope i can recreate my avatar, so thats how i hope she will look, plus tattoos and short hair.
