Thank you!!!! *return hugs* I'm just hoping everything is OK at the minute, the appointment feels like forever away. What I really need is some kind of porthole to my womb so I can keep checking nothing has gone wrong ![]()
I think Cullen is going to be a bit more fluid in his beliefs this time and not so ready to jump to black and white conclusions. I still think he's going to be Cullen in the sense that he's soft spoken, but firm when he does make a decision, just a bit more cautious with labels and nailing down lines of good and bad.
It's a frustrating thread and if I could, I would stop reading it.
Lots of strong opinions on both sides and a ton assumptions about what Cullen will be like before the game is even released.
Good to have view points of views but it's gotten & no doubt get heated again
This is what usually bothers me with this kind of threads, the assumptions, when in reality the only thing we can do at this point is speculate...It'll be far more honest if the OP changed the tittle in "I didn't want Cullen to be the military advisor" or anything similar.
Their opinion is respected since people who didn't like Cullen will have to interact with him more often due to the role he currently plays in the game, but still we haven't see him in action in order to decide whether he's the right person for the job or not.
Time and events definitely look like they've taken a toll on him. I like it in the way, YES he's looking more like a take charge kind of guy, but I am also feeling a little defensive for him, in that he had such ideals and hopes and thats all been taken away from him, maybe made him into this angry no sh!t taken kind of guy....he's not our little shy awkward templar anymore....he needs something good to offset all the bad
I know right!I'd say that Cullen always had a pretty morph,(since I can't really say bone structure)but the current engine emphasizes that prettiness.
Now I am curious about Scribbles background. Chantry, Templars, Circle or other. How was she selected? What are her skills? CAN'T WAIT!

This!
If this turns out to be true,I'd be really content with the evolution of his arc.I've mentioned before that I really wanted to see Cullen observing the "greyness" of the whole situation.I'd like him to stay loyal to his ideals but also be more open-minded and less eager to judge.

It is a bit like that to start with. I think you have your first scan (visual) around twenty weeks...? It was two years ago for me lol. But anyway, I was freaking out because I hadn't felt my baby kick yet and I thought something could have been wrong and I was so afraid that they would find something not good and literally as I walked into the waiting room she kicked for the first time! It was AMAZING! Just keep positive love.
But if you ever need anyone to talk to, I'm here and I got ears -- or eyes......to read what you type ![]()
Agreed) although i think now his structure looks more similar to what Alistair should have looked in a new engine. I know i definitely confused them
please dont kill me, i know Cullen is the one and only.
Haha!No one's gonna kill you don't worry,I was thinking about this as well...
Both Cullen and Alistair have that typical "Fereldan" look.Light hair and complexion and they also appear to share the same eye colour(I honestly expect many threads to pop up,about Cullen being one of Marric's bastards)but they have different features like their nose and eyes,Alistair has the so called Therin look which he shares with Cailan and Marric. So I'd say in scale of resemblance, they look more like cousins rather than brothers.
Because I need to stop reading the "other" thread, I was wondering, am I the only one who hasn't decide what my inquisitor will look like or be?
Only thing I've decided is pretty much blonde hair because that's what I always pick for my first play through character (I feel weird not playing a blonde, being a blonde - sounds dumb lol) ... & maybe green eyes
I think the hardest thing in a thread like that is to just close the tab lol. Anyway I'm kinda going for a bald guy this time, but I might go with that look from when they announced the companions.
er meant to say races rather than companions.
Yup yup! Got my first midwife's appointment on the 17th
not too far in yet, about 10-ish weeks (doctors were completely NOT helpful in that regard) but it's all scary and exciting
Congratulations! I hope you love having a midwife as much as I did, having a baby at home is really special!

Agreed. I think after the incident with Meredith Cullen knows that it's not so easy to devide people into fractions of good or bad or, more to the point, good and dangerous. I also picture him as firm but cautious.

No, you're not alone. I won't start thinking about my inquisitor before the charactor creator is opened on my monitor. So far, I only know that I would like to play a female human mage, but not even that is set in stone. I like flexibility.

Personally I'm so excited for the game, that I've written at least 2 pages in word, for each of my characters...Nothing related to the storyline, mostly their personality traits and quirks, what food represents them etc.
My favourites so far are my fem Dalish mage who has drak brown hair and honey eyes and my male human rogue who is a blond with green eyes(although in my headcanon he has heterochromia but I don't think we'll get this option in the CC).
They changed his eye colour. Didn't he have golden eyes?
He could be my Amell Warden's brother now. Same eye colour, hair colour and facial structure. Not that I'm complaining, I think he looks great ![]()

It's just a bug. One of us asked Liz Lehtonen if they changed his eyes and she said they hadn't.

They've acknowledged there are some bugs in the eyecolors for now.

It was mentioned in twitter by Mike Laidlaw that there is currently a bug related to the character's eye colour,so I expect him to have his hazel eyes again by the time the game is released.
Also you warden looks beautiful!

I can not get the song "Danny Boy" out of my head. I feel this is entirely your fault ![]()
EDIT: Also wanted to say thank you to the thread-starter for linking both my original Tortured Templar Cullen thread I made waaayyy back in 2010 and for linking the Cullen Club I run on DA! Much appreciated! (and makes it easier to wade through the old posts to find things I wrote about him haha)
Welcome back, and my pleasure!! We've seen much of your lovely art and always love seeing it again!
So out of curiosity, with the DAO endings I know there are a few things that can happen with Cullen but not once in any of my play-through's has he ever got a mention in my epilogues. Is this the weird/normal?
I never gotten them either. IIRC, there are very specific circumstances that trigger them.
I usually lurk here, but I just spent about an hour trying to defend Cullen over in the "why is cullen our military advisor thread" and I just want to say, I really like you guys. General consensus over there seems to be, "he's only there because fanservice!" I just wanted to say you're a lovely group of people, and you don't deserve the hate you get.
Carry on, people, carry on.
Thanks for the likes btw Boom.

Guys, just a gentle reminder that Allan has asked us not to discuss other threads. This is just the beginning of the renewed vitriol against him. Let's let it stay in its thread, and if discussion moves over here, then we'll have a discussion.

Nope. I haven't given it a thought. I'll just see what strikes my fancy once I hit the cc.
