Oh! Well, if it's that fortress thingy in the highlands, then maybe that's where we'll find him? Either held captive by the red templars who have taken over that area, or being an undercover agent.

 

I'm thinking more and more that this will be the case! I love that he's (possibly) going to be their leader   EDIT: Leader of the rebel templars in the pic that is.

I've got my fingers crossed for leader of the rebels. (Perfect for our team of leaders, eh?) And if he's by the Skyhold, then we might run into him relatively early in-game.

Wait... Cullen as leader of the Red Templars? how would that be a good thing? o.O wouldn't leader be too prominent a role for an agent, seeing as the lack of taking red lyrium may be too obvious? <--- *confused*

I wasn't disappointed once I realized the mistake, mostly horribly embarrassed. I didn't want anyone else to think you were a Dev, and then you'd get bombarded with tweets and--

Gahh I was looking at the War Room concept art and just got a sudden shiver of extreme anticipation!! Just knowing that Cullen is going to be a part of this rebellion, to be a major player in our story, IT'S JUST SO DAMN EXCITING!!!!!!

Honestly, I don't know. My thoughts on NPC vs Companion vary from day to day. In this case, I think it could go either way. The story behind image could be anything. Perhaps Cullen is traveling with his fellow templars to make sure they arrive at Skyhold, then he'll head off with the Inquisitor. Maybe he'll stick around and help train the troops.

 

Heck, that might just be Random Dude in Red Coat. I dunno!

Yes!! It's just... he's come so far. He's SUCH an amazing character, and now he's going to have this even more amazing arc. It doesn't just stop at PTSD and "I'm not sure what I believe in anymore." He's going beyond that; he's going to take a stand on the mages v. templars situation; he's going to have to confront red templars; he's going to somehow be part of the inquisition. It's f***ing amazing.

ME3 had something like this. Your followers had their home space, but sometimes they could be found elsewhere, chatting with other people. That'd be a nice way to make NPC's feel more involved.

 

Did Leandra ever have a conversation with someone out side the family? Besides Aveline? Did she and Varric ever have a conversation? Huh.

No, I don't believe Bioware ever did confirm this. People are just speculating that there are going to be advisors and such. It's mostly the fanbase taking those speculations to the next level. Hence, why I have a lot of hope because The DA team is known to have romances within the party....so there is a past history of that unless stated otherwise. :3

This is all guessing. Sometimes I have to stop myself and say, "It's not actually confirmed the Grey Warden is in. Or a warrior." or "We don't know DHMG's real name." This forum makes a lot of assumptions.

Even though the DA team stated even split, I have not heard confirmation on a 3/3/3 team, either. It could be 4/2/3 etc. who knows?
