Just had to tell somebody in some private message on my Tumblr that you guys welcome **ALL** Cullen fans.

 

 

This person has been lurking here  & loves that you guys are Cullen fans but assumes she will be made fun of if she only shares her female Inquisitors with Cullen when the game comes out.

 

I stressed to her that you guys are not mean like that.

 

She had a really bad experience with ME3 and Kaidan/femShep.

 

I told her first and foremost this was a thread that covered ALL things CULLEN and that people just want everybody to be able to have Cullen. 

 

She wants that too but her experience with ME3 really hurt her.  

 

So if by chance if my Tumblr friend is lurking....These people are great and welcome everybody!

My friend got me into Vampire Diaries (it's actually pretty fun) so I am biding my time with it. Knowing my luck we won't get any information.

Damn, really? I had never heard about that. I thought Kaidan was the best ME romance lol
 
Then again, I didn't play Mass Effect until the summer after it came out, so I probably missed a lot of that mess.

 
Apparently people who did Kaidan's romance plot with a FemShep instead of a DudeShep got harassed quite a bit. Got called homophobes. It was messy. So I can understand this person being a bit gun-shy. But I'd like to think we're all better than that. 
 
But this is getting very close to that line of talking-about-things-in-other-threads, so.

I heard it got really bad for FemShep/Kaiden people for awhile there.

Ugh, it did unfortunately.

 

Makes me realise that I always seem to end up picking the characters that get you the most flak.

I don't understand why anyone would care who she wanted to romance Cullen with if she didn't care who others want to romance him with. I have no idea what Kaidan fans are like in the ME community. I played the series and romanced Kaidan, but I never got as into ME as the DA games.    

 

She got bullied alot when romancing Kaidan with a femShep.  There are some people that don't realize that words do hurt.

All this thinking about the state of Thedas and all is helping me wrap my brain around what kind of personality and backstory my Inquisitor's gonna have, as well. Good times.

We're not doing a 2k page celebration, I don't think, specifically BECAUSE we're moving so fast.  Not really a milestone at this point.  I don't remember what was decided, but I'm cool with waiting till 5k, myself. It would make it more a special thing, ya know?

I don't have anything prepared for page 2000. I had a DA:I Cullen fanfic, but that got deleted when I reinstalled Windows on my computer. I'm crap when it comes to doing backups. I'm trying to recover the document, but haven't succeeded yet.

The other thing I had prepared for page 2000 is lying in my other place which is 4 hours away, and is only half-finished. So that won't be ready either.

Maybe for page 3000.

 

Edit: I see now that we're not doing the 2000 celebration. Goodie!

Naah I'm all about Zevran in DAO. Cullen will be my first human romance that I hopefully love.. I have tried Alistair, Kaidan and Anders and none quite hits mark for me XD

I had no idea there were people that reacted that way with Kaidan, that's pretty crazy. I would love for Cullen to be bi, but that's because I'd like for everyone to be able to romance him on whichever gender they'd rather romance him on and so everyone could try out the new NPC romances and the companion romances. It makes literally no difference to me whether people pick a male or female. I haven't seen any reactions like this on BSN yet (DA forums, anyway, haven't been to ME), so I think she's safe.
