Even though the DA team stated even split, I have not heard confirmation on a 3/3/3 team, either. It could be 4/2/3 etc. who knows?

Well, it's fair to assume that even-split means 3/3/3, but, you are right, I don't think they specifically said that it was exactly that. I'm even starting to doubt that the Iron Bull was confirmed as a companion. I need to hear that panel.

Agreed. Even spread has a little more leeway than 3/3/3.

 

Also, yeah, no news on if NPC romances even are a thing so it's all speculation. We also don't know the Grey Warden's name.

For all we know, their idea of even split is not just having one mage or no tanks in the party. It could be that having enough of each to balance the party. Perhaps the idea of balance isn't in exact numbers, but advantages.

No, I don't believe Bioware ever did confirm this. People are just speculating that there are going to be advisors and such. It's mostly the fanbase taking those speculations to the next level. Hence, why I have a lot of hope because The DA team is known to have romances within the party....so there is a past history of that unless stated otherwise. :3

 

 

This is all guessing. Sometimes I have to stop myself and say, "It's not actually confirmed the Grey Warden is in. Or a warrior." or "We don't know DHMG's real name." This forum makes a lot of assumptions.

 

 

That's what I thought, but you know how it is when something is repeated often enough.  Precedence and lack of comment from the devs is why I am not wavering in my Cullen as follower stance.

I actually tweeted Mike Laidlaw about that because I was seeing BSN posts to the tune of "given the fact that we'll have romanceable NPCs" and I was wondering if I was just missing some Dev confirmation on it... His response to me was:

@Mike_Laidlaw: I'm pretty sure we haven't said anything either way.

So yeah, the romanceable NPC is pure fan speculation, neither confirmed or denied.

In fact, i swear there was an earlier video with DA:I where the devs stated that they wouldn't want an all mage party. I'mma look and see if that is around somewhere. But, context is everything, and that is precisely what DG was warning about in his posts. Things could go either way, so it does not hurt to speculate and hope, so long as it doesn't get out of hand. :3

Now I started again to think that Cullen is companion XD I'm really no sure at all, my feeling about he being companion and NPC changes from hour to hour almost ^^; I just hope he's companion.

ME3 had something like this. Your followers had their home space, but sometimes they could be found elsewhere, chatting with other people. That'd be a nice way to make NPC's feel more involved.

 

Did Leandra ever have a conversation with someone out side the family? Besides Aveline? Did she and Varric ever have a conversation? Huh.

 

Excellent point.  Although I would like it to be a little bit more frequent and ...meatier, for lack of better word.

Also, I have my doubts, not saying their true but, I also don't think that the NPC romances did very well for ME3. If I were a game designer, I would probably stay away from something like that if it were something that didn't get a good reception. However, the devs could've taken this as a challenge to try and make it better, in their defense. I still am going to write the speculation of NPC romances as just that, until it is stated by the devs otherwise so: *throws Cullen confetti*
