Ive been trying the last 10 minutes to make a combined speech of Lord of the rings, Independence day and braveheart ha ha.
LOL Actually, I believe you visited us once or twice there once upon a time. It was the earlier incarnation of this thread.I didn't even know that existed.
But of course I haven't been very active on BSN since DA2 and the **** storm it brought.
Agree. I have a hard time imagining him being totally against the Order. Like I said earlier today, I could see him even wearing it as a tribute to his ideals, which he continues to believe in independent of what the actual Order is doing these days or whether he's a card carrying member.Well, he still wears the insignia. I can't imagine him just being like, "I have nothing else to wear."

Did I? I remember visiting the Anders thread but not the Cullen one. Cool!
I am going to love seeing him as a strong, confident man, secure in his beliefs and duties.

It seems like he would be 100% against the way Lambert wants to run things. I wonder if he's in charge of the Red Templars, too? Do you think there are multiple factions of templars at this stage? In any case, I can see why he'd side with Cass given the option. He's still a templar at heart, there's no doubt.
3 more pages and it will be my page b-day ![]()
ALSO love the interview and that fact that we got mentioned
I thought that was pretty cool, and I CANT WAIT TO MEET CULLEN and find out more about his private life instead of all duty stuff

I'd say so far we have the templars who stayed loyal to the divine, the rebel templars who followed Lambert and a branch of them became what we know now as red templars.I Don't know however, if there's another templar faction, and we just don't know anything about it at the moment.

Isn't it awesome that we'll finally get to know more about his life before he became a templar?I can't wait!! ![]()
Just read the interview. *squee* ![]()
It was sooo painful vague- and I love it!
I want off duty Cullen to make me laugh. Just once (minimum). Then he'll be perfect.3 more pages and it will be my page b-day

Can you imagine this, new, evolved, confident Cullen, with a rather shy Inquisitor? Ugh! That would be so sweet and lovely. I can almost picture his attempt at making her/him laugh! ![]()

Perhaps Cullen is a little sentimental about leaving everything he has ever known behind when it comes to the templars?
but seriously, maybe he was given them by someone important to him or something (Gregoir? Or mysterious character #1?) or he wants to remember his roots. Honestly, I think this is one of the things I'm going to be fixating on when I first meet him in the game haha. I can just picture my Quizzy walking up to him, taking a look at the insignia on his wrist and taking a step back whilst eyeing him with suspicion (I'm playing as a human mage first). Or she'll be the epitome of elegance and do a remarkable spit take over him
hmm, I like the latter idea
I'm am soooooo happy about the interview. Yes, I want to know more but isn't that the whole point of playing the game? Gives me even more reason to play and yet satisfies my curiosity with knowing at least the direction his character is going in. I don't want to be spoiled too much on content but it would give me peace of mind to know simply how involved advisers will be, what ways the team went about to equate adviser content to follower content, and if advisers will pop up frequently outside of the keep as to not have to travel back all the time (yes I know there's the pic with Leliana, but conformation would be awesome. Plus we don't know if that's her on a personal quest of hers or regular camp). Other than that, I'm very satisfied and excited. :3
Here here. ![]()
I remembered Cullen from DAO and was happy to see him again in DA2. I'm now happy to see him back in DAI.
I'm most excited about his character development. He was quite shy and nervous in the Magi Origin, but his personality hardened considerably during and after the Broken Circle questline (even if I disagreed with him, it was nice to see him have an opinion).
In DA2 he was older and more experienced. He had an (albeit narrow-minded) ideal of what it meant to be a Templar and to protect people, but he was overshadowed by Meredith. His standing up to her at the end was certainly a fist-pump moment for me.
And now in DAI it seems like he's more experienced and confident than ever, but with the wisdom to question his own views.
Certainly looking forward to meeting him. ![]()

He really is one of the few characters you see grow across 3 games
So Cullen has now his own character profile. Congratulations! I mean, this is the first time fans of a given character have been mentioned in the profiles, so I take off my hat. Although I'm not as passionate about him, the interview makes clear that he will be a nice addition, that he's still the Cullen we know and that his character development hasn't stopped yet.
Can't wait to ask him about what he did between DAII and DA:I, especially what he did after hearing of Asunder's events.
I'm seconding the private life thing. We see some of it in DA2, but ultimately, we only see Cullen on duty. We know he's shy around sexual women (the mage Warden initiates, and he's awkward with the brothel), so what's he like around more professional women, or dudes. He a drinker? Templar!Carver mentions they turn the Chant of Light into a drinking song.
I am going to love seeing him as a strong, confident man, secure in his beliefs and duties.
You forgot the single part
SWEET BABY CULLEN! And I miss it all again ![]()
And my birth year is in two pages Woooooh. Does that mean I get to have a celebratory drink?
Templar!Carver mentions they turn the Chant of Light into a drinking song.
Really? That's so inappropriate! lol As long as it was good natured fun, I bet Cullen would join in. I can definitely see him having a pint, just not at the brothel ...
You forgot the single part
Darling, I NEVER forget the single part. ![]()
