I've thought that the outcomes of Cullen, Leliana and Scribbles will be down to how you establish your bases. If you have a lot of espionage bases perhaps Leliana will have a good outcome but if not she'll end up in a bad situation, the same could likely apply to Cullen.

I'm torn, part of me feel like this will be Cullen's last game and another part of me feels maybe Bioware have more plans for him yet, maybe even a companion one day.
Well if that's the case than that would be awesome... but somehow I doubt that would happen... Im pretty sure a lot of ppl (haters mostly) would be upset of the fact that he may continue in other games...

Edit - I forgot to quote Phrate Phoenix!
We think alike.
That was my other option. The overwhelmed figurehead of the Inquisition, who isn't actually particularly competent or inspiring being bossed around by whatever personality is strongest, while they keep their fingers crossed that she won't stuff up too dramatically in public. ![]()

I have a feeling that there'll be at least one outcome where he dies...Let's just hope he doesn't die inevitably.
I think that's unlikely, given that they've made him a romance. I wouldn't be surprised if there was some option for him to be killed though. (I'm NEVER doing it! Nope, not even for science.)

That sounds plausible. I am betting that DAI is going to be similar to ME3, and that it'll have some sort of "War Assets" system, like ME3 did.
*EDIT* ToP Cullen

For me it will depend on the playthrough and the option,if however the only way for him to die is to have my Inquisitor kill him, then it'll definitely be a "Nope" situation.

That would be an interesting run. I, myself, want to have a Puppet Leader run, where basically I play an unwilling hero who does as Cassandra or Leliana says. Whether the game will allow for these kinds of PC's, well, I don't know.
My first run will be a very basic self-insert type. But I do plan on eventually playing a young, male, pro-circle mage who is totally unprepared to deal with all the **** happening to him. Cassandra is basically going to have to hold his hand through the entire thing.

I have the same problem, except in my head it plays out in scenes, lol!
This is just like me....the scenes play out perfectly in my head, getting it down on paper...just doesn't go very well.

On #1, yes, Varric mentions that the Chantry has lost the templars. So it must be after Lambert breaks the Accord. That's also the order of events given in World of Thedas. So I believe that is "known."That's why I'm assuming they go talk to him after.
But, and here is this question that I pick like a scab.1) Do they talk to Varric AFTER Lambert breaks the Nevarran Accord?
And 2) is the wiki correct when it says there are only 15 KC's in all of Thedas?
I really think that the question of where Cullen stood on that, if he was a part of that at all, is the question *I* most want to know the answer to. I can't let it alone. haha
On #2, I'm presuming yes since it's corroborated by several sources. Of course, in DA:O there's a load screen that says there are 14 Circles, but most folks are thinking that's been retconned to 15. Or at least 15 under the purview of the "white" Divine.

So, what do YOU (R2) think? You're pretty much the foremost lore authority about all this.
Do you think Cullen was there?
How plausible is it that Cullen might have given the proverbial finger to Lambert, thereby causing some things we'll have to deal with Inquisition? How plausible that he'd have gone along with it, at least on paper?

LOL You know... I haven't thought about it since we found out he was running Kirkwall for a while... I suppose there's a small chance he was doing something immediately before Cass talked to Varric. Like, conscientious objector to Lambert's changes, so refused to go to Val Royeaux and was replaced shortly beforehand?? But, really... that's a long shot. I suppose in my gut, I can see lots of plausible reasons he was there and did go along with it, even if he didn't like it. (Lambert does acknowledge that not everyone was on board, even if they all officially agreed)
[edit: Heck, maybe that's why he takes Cassandra's offer. He leaves the meeting in Val Royeaux, thinking, 'f*ck this. I'm done!']
But TBH, I think I'll have to keep thinking about it. I'm still surprised he seems to have been the KC in Kirkwall.

Your edit is pretty spot on with my own thought, right after I posted haha. I am less surprised about his being KC in Kirkwall, because it just seemed natural response to me.
So, huh. I will try to wait another month or so before bringing this up again.
Maybe we'll have more info by then about the state of Thedas. ![]()

Bramblefae! Love, love, love your avatar! Is it your artwork? And is there a full size version? I would love to borrow it for my iPad background, if that's okay? It's gorgeous!
Hi, and yes it's mine, although the original is down on brown paper. You can see it here on my DeviantArt. ![]()
I don't mind if you use it for your iPad background.
I'm a little blushy about it, in fact.

Sorry, that sounded less than enthusiastic. But I'd naturally gravitate toward the political branch and I don't want to alter my playstyle for Cullen's sake. Hopefully, the fact that I love Gaspard to death will prevent a death due to insufficient military.

Not likely Cullen would be killable given that he's an adviser. Who'd replace him? It's one thing for companions. Kill Solas and you still have Dorian and Vivienne to replace him. If Cullen's killable, it wouldn't be until close to the end when everything you could have done would be done already so he's not really needed anymore. Kind of like the end battle or something. Could relate to how many soldiers you recruited throughout the game. Recruit enough and Cullen lives to the end. Recruit too few and he dies. Same might be true with the other two.

Alright, I've been gone for about 2 weeks with crappy internet. I know Cullen has been revealed and read his interview. Has the Greg Ellis video been released yet or is it still MIA?
