Not likely Cullen would be killable given that he's an adviser. Who'd replace him? It's one thing for companions. Kill Solas and you still have Dorian and Vivienne to replace him. If Cullen's killable, it wouldn't be until close to the end when everything you could have done would be done already so he's not really needed anymore. Kind of like the end battle or something. Could relate to how many soldiers you recruited throughout the game. Recruit enough and Cullen lives to the end. Recruit too few and he dies. Same might be true with the other two.
This^ Cullen seems to be too much of an asset to the Inquisition to leave. An entire branch of your Inquisition is led under him and I doubt that we will be able to recruit replacements (it's possible but does not seem likely). I can see a situation like at the end of Awakening where you need to fortify defenses at your keep and the army itself for the people there to be safe. I just do not see an advisor leaving you in the middle of the game though if it is possible I will not complain, but I would rather keep my advisors if possible.
