I almost wet myself laughing when he asked Alistair what does with my warden's legs.... took a little bit for Alistair to catch on. But Wynne had good banter with Alistair too... like the time she tried to explain where babies come from LMAO

It was going to be a long journey to the neutral zone selected for an alliance talk. Cullen had taken every precaution to accommodate the vast array of dignitaries arriving. Every precaution, but one. The most difficult task he had saved for last. He adjusted the folds of his robes and ran his fingers through his hair before marching down to the stables.

The Inquisitor was barking orders loudly to the squad. Cullen felt his stomach flip and a knot rise in his throat. He was unsure how best to broach the subject, but more concerned his voice would fail to come out at all. He cleared his throat and approached.

“Inquistor,” he said mid-bow. “May I have a word with you… in private?” Cullen gulped harsh as he finished the sentence. The Inquisitor raised a brow suspicious before a coy smirk teased at the corner of their lips.

“In private? Well, I think I have a few moments for a ‘private’ conversation with my military adviser. Lead the way, Cullen.” The sultry tone in the Inquisitor’s voice made it drop an octave as the words floated around Cullen’s head. His heart began to race, but he had to stay focused. He couldn’t let his love distract him. No matter how they would try and Cullen knew they would try.

Cullen walked out the back of the paddock, checking the corners and shadows around the stables before he began. His voice switching from professional overtones to tender whisperings.

“Love, I have a favor to ask of you.” Cullen placed his hands on his lover’s shoulders as they leaned in for a kiss.

“Anything for you my darling. Name it and it is yours. You sweet, beautiful man.” The Inquisitor purred next to Cullen’s ear and for a moment he forgot what his request had been.

Shaking his head to lift the spell, he took a parcel from behind his back.

“I would like you to wear these.” He handed the parcel to the Inquisitor, who opened it quickly.

“Aren’t you just the….” The Inquisitor paused pulling out a pair of smalls and held them up to Cullen’s nose. The features he loved so well had curled into the most evil death glare he had ever seen.

“What the hell are these, Cullen? Do I look like Andraste?! Why in the Maker‘s Name that you hold so dear would you ask me to wear these, GRANNY PANTIES?!” The Inquisitor flapped the smalls in the air before throwing them in Cullen’s face.

He hadn’t expected this to be easy, but he didn’t think it would upset his love as much as it was. You would think by their reaction, he had asked them to ride the Archdemon into the Dark Roads while dancing the Remigold on its back.

“Love, darling, my heart of hearts. It is a long journey and I only desire your comfort. You will chaffe if you ride as you…ahem… are. Your tunic doesn’t protect your legs as your armor does. Please, for me?” Cullen tried to sound as endearing as possible as he explained his request.

“Bullshit! I ride further on a daily basis and don’t even get a saddle whelp. Try again.” The Inquisitor folded their arms angrily over their chest and glared at Cullen.

Exasperated, Cullen flung his arms in the air with a huff.

“Fine! You caught me! There are going to be priests at this meeting. Chaste priests and dignitaries and Maker knows what attachés they might be bringing in their caravan. Not to mention your squad, who would all like to not have your delicate bits staring them in the face when you dismount your horse! Andraste grant me strength, you will be the death of me, love!”
Cullen had the smalls gripped in his hand as he paced back and forth while he ranted. He had his back turned to the Inquisitor when he finally stopped his overloaded tirade and dropped his head exhausted. Suddenly he felt a warmth on his hand and looked up to meet the gaze of his love, their expression having softened from it’s stony appearance just moments before. His eyes fell down to his hand as the smalls were pulled from his grip.

“As you wish.” The Inquisitor sighed only slightly annoyed before walking away to accommodate the request leaving Cullen behind with a satisfied smile on his face.

 

The very end is intended to match your drawing and hopefully Boom will want to punch me

 

Oh PS. I wanted to keep it gender neutral like the last one for all the Cullenites to enjoy which got hard, so sorry if it comes across a bit repetitive

One or two days ago you guys talked about where Cullen was at the end of DA2. Was he recruited? Why hadn't he told Cassandra the whole story. I don't think Cullen had the whole picture.

 

So I have been thinking about when Cassandra interrogates Varric and how he changed her mind about what happened in Kirkwall.

 

I am sure that directly after the event with the Chantry, Cullen would send a report to the Templars. Maybe even the Seekers came as an internal police to do an investigation. I don't think they would know the whole story. I don't think Cullen knows where Meredith got the sword from. So the reports and the investigation would at first only contain information that

- Tention between the Templars and Mages had grown, Orsino was rallying support from the citizens to install a new Vicount.

- the Chantry did nothing to calm the situation.

- The Chantry was blown up in a terrorist action by an apostate Mage, ex Warden, named Anders.

- Meredith called for an Annulment

- A civilian named Hawke became involved in the fighting and sided with <Mage/Templars>

- Orsino became an abomination

- Meredith decided to kill civilians, Cullen forced her to step down.

- Meredith became batshit crazy

 

I am certain Cullen did not understand at that point in time about the red lyrium and how everything fit together. Sure he must have seen the sword, but would he truly understand that the lyrium was driving her mad. Also I am sure they must have tried at one point to interrogate Hawke. If Hawke was a Mage then they would not find him/her. But as a Vicount I bet you Hawke covered up as much as possible - not wanting anything pointing towards them. Vicount Hawke also decided to leave (how quickly fortune changes), perhaps the reason was because Hawke realized someone would come after him/her. So it's possible Hawke never was questioned at all and all info came from the Templars.

 

But then we have 2 or 3 years more to cover.

 

Further investigation, that could have been ongoing for 1-3 years would probably lead them to investigate the red lyrium, try to find it's source. So along the way they would probably hear about Bartrands expedition, maybe even find the place of the red lyrium (and bad stuff started to happen). But nobody put the exact pieces together until eventually 3 years later when Cassandra was looking for Hawke and Varric told her the whole story.

 

I think this scenario makes sense to me and explains how Cassandra was unaware of the whole puzzle.

 

The only question that remains is the EXACT reason why they were looking for Hawke. She does say in the end that she wants Hawke because she believes the Champion can stop the madness, someone people can rally behind. Instead she got the whole picture.

 

I believe that Cullen might already be recruited at this point, prior to the investigation (he might have pointed her to Varric). Or she would be going to see him right after Varrics interrogation to get confirmation on details she was told and then sees Cullens potential and recruits him on the spot.  

 

No, the one from Origins where someone found more of Cullen's dialogue by standing beside him and typing "runscript so-n-so". You can hear him laugh, and make a joke about Andraste's virginity.
