Shocking? Probably not. But we do have a lot of Cullenites who wanted him to be bisexual. I feel bad for them, even if I, myself, am not effected.

I'm surprised he isn't a bi LI, I thought maybe he'd be the ideal choice since he's not a companion and has a varied fanbase.

Are you kidding? I put 2 1/2 years of my life into this fandom, and other than the great people I met, it's been a colossal waste of time. I worked myself up over a character I can't romance. You think I'm going to hang around here and watch everyone else squee and gush over him (as they SHOULD)? No way. That's too f*cking painful. It means too much for me. It's already starting to sink in and my throat is getting tight, and that's still with the shock still in place.

 

So I will have to cut ties with this fandom and try to make a home somewhere else... but I've learned my lesson; I'll wait to hear confirmation on the other characters' sexuality so I don't fall in love with someone else (not likely since I don't like any of the options except maybe Blackwall). God this practically kills the game for me.

Hey seriously now, don't leave i know you've been in this fandom for way more then I have but still... its no reason to leave.

I know you like the character just as mush as we do, but you can STILL romance him it may not be with the gender that you prefer, and you probably wont enjoy it as much... but hey thats what the imagination is there for! Heck I thought Dorian was Bi but he turned out to be gay.. and even tho I prefer to play as my own gender if I like a character enough i would suck it in and play as something else .. and as I said it may not feel the same as the gender as you intended to play in the 1st place but you still  get that "satisfaction" 

 

So please dont leave its not worth it to leave because of this I know it meant a lot to you but you are a part of us

Wow. Don't leave because you can't romance Cullen! There's other things to look forward to in Dragon Age. Besides you can always be Cullen's best friend! You can make an impact on Cullen in many ways besides bedding him!

I am sorry to hear about Cullen being straight.  Though for myself it just gives me a good reason to play a female inquisitor my second playthrough, but I still feel bad for the gay/bi fans that only play once and had their heart set on Cullen.  Hugs all around!

I think we knew it was coming, but it's still disappointing for those who were planning a m/m romance. Not surprising, and I suppose it's best everyone knows now so there are no tears come October, but I totally get why some people are sad.
Artemis, for what it's worth, I'd be really sad to see you go, although we've never spoken, you've always been a pillar of this little thread I hope you feel better soon.

You guys have mentioned before that who the Warden romanced (& put on the Throne) would be important to DA:I Will Hawke's romance (Sebastian included) & chosen side also be important to DA:I?

I don't think -we- explicitly said that, but there's been a lot of conjecture about it, for sure. The fate of the warden will be recorded in the keep and may just come up in some way in the game. Maybe. If you're good. –Laidlaw

In Origins we had approval, in II we had friendship vs. rivalry. What kind of system will we have in Inquisition?

Major characters all track something similar to approval, but the system has changed to put more focus on what you are doing and what you say instead of grinding by constantly giving them gifts. Each follower does have their own set of goals they want to achieve and if you help them, they will appreciate it/ And if you ****** them off, they might just leave. –Laidlaw

What made you cast Freddie Prinze Jr. as a Qunari? 2. Can we expect (hope) for DLC involving Varric and the Tale of Bianca?! 3. While I know we can purchase armor for the various mounts, will said mounts be customizable and/or offer the player a special power unique to each species?

He worked well with our Director for ME3, he loves the games and was really excited for the role and he did a kick-ass audition. 2. Can't talk future plans just yet, but we might learn a little more about Varric's past in Inquisition. 3. There's different mounts. We do read the forums, it's sometimes hard to consolidate everyone's different opinions on the BSN so it becomes a task of reading between the lines about what people want and expect - Cameron Lee

To be honest. I felt exactly the same way Artemis felt when I found out that Sera was going to be a lesbian romance. I was devastated airst, but I got over it said to myself I can always befriend her. well i'm not surprised by this announcement, i still intend to play no matter what, now i just need to see what gets announced next, i'm really looking forward to this game still, and can't wait to explore the multi regional open world and all the companions
