I am absolutely only teasing, there's no way Cullen's last name is Trevelyan in anything other than maybe a few fanfictions that'll start popping up. It's all my fault.

 

Haha, no worries, we've actually discussed it many times just in the few months I've been here and probably many more times before that. But it never fails to make me wonder for an unpleasant microsecond.

Ah, I see. Well, I suppose it would be in keeping with all of our protagonists so far being from Ferelden.   Hmm. Since the warrior/rogue Trevelyan is a noble, if they're Fereldan, maybe they're a Bann/family of a Bann? As much as I love the HN origin, I would hope that they try to differentiate from it as much as possible. And then there's the human mage--Circle mage? Apostate? Something else? One of the First Enchanters coming to the summit? 

 

Although I am sorta rooting for the human PC to be Orlesian.  It'd be an interesting change. Plus, that means we get masks! Masks!

Ok just came back from a crazy night where Germany won 7-1 to brazil  it was an woesem night

 

 

Now... once again back to the ppl leaving the thread because Cullen is straight once again YOU DON'T HAVE TO LEAVE THIS THREAD JUST BECAUSE HIS STRAIGHT !!!! I know for some of you , you were expecting him to be bi.

And to be really honest i kind of expected him as well cause sometimes i like to play as a male character and when i do I like to romance the ppl i like with different genders.

That said... again i am going to repeat my self over and over  I know how it feels and its def NOT COOL  but just because he is gender restricted doesn't stop the player to have his/her wish no matter what gender they play.... thats why its a ROLE PLAYING GAME you can be who ever you want to be.. even in other circumstances...  that you don't always get what you want you CAN still get the same content but as a different character . So please don't leave this thread because of this  "reveal"

It means nothing.   If you like a specific character  you stand by it regardless of his/hers gender preferences, and Hey I like Cass AND Dorian but you know what? I have to play a diff gender then I would like to romance them and im fine with that... and as I said before even tho it might not feel the same way I would still get that satisfaction cause of ROLE PLAYING

 

I agree with your post.  It sucks alot but they had said not everybody was going to be available.   Its just the way it is.

I was disappointed Dorian was not available but I immediately moved on and plan to roll a male.

The developers are not here to cater to everybody's demands.   They are going to do what WORKS with the story. It sucks but we just have to deal with it.

I actually had no idea who the Blackhawks were until someone else on this forum recognized the song name, but I'm sure they're the best team in the whole world, of course.  

 

And if Cullen's not race-gated, he could be sibling-gated.

While I can't speak for others who have done so, I wanted to state my reason for withdrawing from the thread. It's not because of 'sour grapes' or not feeling welcome. Far from it - everyone has been very kind and supportive and for that I thank you. I thought it was best to go because the majority of posts on this thread does deal with romancing him. And while I'm very appreciative at the suggestion that going forward other topics could be discussed to spare feelings, that would be doing a huge disservice to those who are here to discuss Cullen's romantic story arc. 

 

I'll pop in from time to time after the game goes live because I very much would like to hear your thoughts about what you're enjoying -- and not enjoying -- about romancing Cullen. Sure, it's disappointing to discover the main playthrough I had planned is not an option. But I noticed something immediately after: the world didn't come to an end.
