Hahaha I my Amell got dumped in DAO in my first play through
Fenris didnt make up wuth Hawke in DA2
Isabel's skipped out with the tomb in DA2
Kaiden didn't get back together with Shepard in ME3 and on another play through Thane died - not technically getting dumped but Shepard still ended up alone

Man, I was going to run my Shepard through the ME trilogy, but all this Cullen talk makes me wanna run through DAO as an Amell. And then I can get some screenshots of my future pixel obsession. 

 

I had to swap out my VGA because my 5 month old Nvidia was reaching shutdown temps while gaming and I have to wait for the RMA, so here's hoping my temp replacement is good enough to run it.

This is what got me to abandon my Amell which was my first play through. I didn't harden Alistair and I was about to hit the Landsmeet so I researched how to make sure he was king and found out he was going to dump me. I stopped right there and started a Cousland. There isn't enough ice cream in the world if Cullen dumped me.

No shame. Exact same thing with me except I was a dalish rogue! That is the reason I like walkthroughs and don't mind spoilers. I hated to lose all that game time but I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my canon runs. I didn't even know about Cullen until like my 3rd or 4th playthrough of DAO. I've never looked back since! I always have a save right before his dialogue with my Amell so I can dorkishly go back anytime I want to that moment. Haha.

Ahahaha I said resembles not exactly looks like. Same skin tone, hair, jaw and lips. Different nose and eyebrows are definitely not that arched and my boyfriends eyes are more rounder but same color.

And yes, be nice or no spiny spin

I just wonder if there will be situations that you can only resolve with sending Cullen and his men to kick some asses. I imagine in the beginning, when we are still a new player, and nobody knows why the hell should they respect us, Cullen may be more persuasive than Josephine and Leliana. Because he will just show up on your doorstep and chop off your head, and everyone will see, "Oooh, these Inquisition guys mean business!" Also Cullen will be useful when we need a result ASAP. For example, there is an urgent situation, and Leli and Josephine will not be able to do anything about it right now, because letters need time to be written, sent, read, digging some dirt to blackmail needs time too, and maybe in the meantime people are dying, skies are falling, and Cullen can end it in 2 days with moderate casualties.

So I suppose I won't be siding with the ladies all the time. Cullen will get to be heroic for sure.

I'm sure there will be. Like Red Templars raid village X. They aren't going to negotiate. Or someone is invading an ally and needs reinforcement type stuff. Cullen be kicking butt and taking names in that lion helm... striking hero poses... getting all hot from battle... *drool* Huh, what. Sorry got distracted there for a moment. But yeah *ahem* I will be siding with Cullen a lot I think.

Yes, I just (and I mean just, I had a busy day), read that Cullen is straight only (and so is Cassandra)... 

And yes, I do think I might cry. It sucks, but oh well, I suppose.

As much as I dislike to say this, I think another "bisexual elf" is in our future. (I want to be able to look beyond the trope, but it's hard okay! (Doesn't help that every elf companion we've ever had (except Sera once we get her) is bi))

Anyways, I'm going to sulk now (yes, about Cullen), so I may not be an active thread member (or do much lurking) for a while.

 

I am still a fan (but now restricted to his characterization *wink*), so I'll be back... eventually.

Yeah it was. I'm not sure who it would be, but quite possibly Dagna. It has been confirmed that Morrigan wasn't an LI ages ago right?

I think Morrigan is unlikely since many have her as their Warden romance.

 

I think Dagna is a likely candidate. If not her, my guess is it'll be somebody we don't know much about. But hey, there's always Bodahn. Or Sandal

Aww *hugs* I understand Take your time. Hoping to see you back soon! Cullen is still a BAMF, and he has an impressive story arc, and I'm sure this thread will not become a "Cullen romance discussion thread".

I'm going with it being IB and Varric that are race-gated. And Dagna being the first ever female dwarven LI is the exact reason why I think it will be her.
