Not going to lie, would be quite intrigued by that. Think Dagna would probably be more popular though
Teagan has a fairly big following. Its a great theory. ![]()

I do too. :/ I really hope he's not a noble. I too am a huge fan of the farm boy theory, or even just him being a Chantry boy.
Although this has me wondering if he actually has a last name
(A part of me thinks he really does, but I also wouldn't put it past them to tease at something like that)
He probably does. ... Prrrrrobably.
I mean, last names aren't a sign of nobility, are they? Zevran has a last name and noble he ain't.
Oh gosh, now I'm trying to remember everyone with a last name.
Teagan as a romance? Quit it, just quit it. ![]()
<snip>
Yes, I think the two straight options could be race gated. The reason I think it could happen is Cameron saying the romances that were race gated were like that for plot reasons. Aren't Cullen and Cassandra both devout Andrastians? Seems like if anyone would have a problem romancing Qunari or Dwarves, it might be them.
However our elf is going to be Dalish this time and probaply will be less devout Andrastian than surface dwarf or qunari born outside of qun and have been exposured more in human ways than elf inquisitor ![]()
I think that race-gating is going to be based on size.. qunari won't romance elves and dwarves, dwarf from romance humans and qunaris ^^
Teagan? In my playthrough he got married Kaitlyn, so that'd be confusing. xD
OMG. I just had a thought: Cullen being a Chantry boy. What if he's the product of two mages? Or a mage and a Templar? What if he's GREAGOIR'S SON?!

Back in the days of Origins there was a rumor that Cullen was Wynne and Gregoir's child.....then that theory changed to Caroll ![]()
What's the link to that tumblr with all the raptr Q&A on it? I can't find it because the thread moved so fast, lol.

Well, obviously not Wynne's son. That's somebody else.
He probably does. ... Prrrrrobably.

I got super excited because I forgot that Zevran had a last name and then I remembered that Varric does too, but the only humans with last names that I can think of from any DA media off the top of my head (games, books and comics) are nobles.
Teagan as a romance! ...yeah, I'd check that out. >.>

But that somebody else could still be Greagoir's son
even if that son is definitely not Cullen.

Is Aveline a noble? I can't remember. And Varric's family was noble. Until it wasn't. ![]()
And Loghain was given the name Mac Tir. So. I guess. If Cullen has a last name, then...
WAIT
FELIX DE GROSBOIS.
That guy ain't noble.

Aveline's dad was Orlesian nobility, but I think he was exiled for some reason. And he didn't care anyways.
edit: Wait, maybe her dad was just a Chevalier. Not sure how far up the nobility that entails.
From Dragon Age Confessions
Sounds like something I would send in after a night of heavy drinking.
Okay. Last crazy theory of the night: He's Ser Gilmore's older brother.
If Dagna is a romance option, she'd be the first dwarven LI period (possibly tied with Varric), that being said, Varric would have to be bi for this to work, and considering they honoured Cullen's female-only mage crush and Cassandra's one kiss being with a guy, the fact that all of Varric's flirting is to women is also likely to be honoured (if it's not I might get even more sad). IB probably will be race gated to non-Dwarves due to him having a model just shy of being a golem.

Oh! I didn't know that about Varric. I haven't actually gotten to DAII yet... uhhh... and I have no idea about Aveline, although I guess she has a last name too. I'm perusing her wiki page right now.

Ah, nevermind. Just saw this. From what I understand, you have to be a noble to become a Chevalier, or to be accepted into the Chevalier school or whatever it is, so yes, her dad was a noble.
I hope Cullen isn't a noble... I mean, well. It wouldn't actually be so bad if he is, because I'd still like to hear about his backstory either way. I dunno, if he is, maybe his family is a lesser noble house? A noble family that lost all its money and title and lands long ago for whatever reason and now it's just noble in name only? :S As much as I like the farm boy/Chantry boy theory, there are still a lot of cool directions to take the whole nobility thing.
EDIT: Oh hey! Actually, there's a way to get it all to work! If Cullen actually has a last name and that means he's a noble, if his family is a fallen house (noble in name only, but they lost all their money and lands and titles), then he could, conceivably, still be a farm boy or a Chantry boy. See!
EDIT: Further edits! Aveline took on Wesley's name, which is why she's Aveline Vallen, and not Aveline du Lac (her father's name). Unless Wesley was a noble before became a Templar. :S But if he wasn't, then there! A human with a last name who wasn't a noble!
ANOTHER EDIT: @Mister Sunshine, I just saw the Felix de Grosbois comment! So that's at least two humans who have last names and aren't nobles! ![]()

Awww Why?
Teagan developed his own fandom during Origins.

The one thing I definitely don't want is for Cullen to be another Theirin boy. Nope, nope, nope. A lot of people have pointed out physical similarities between the two and I refuse to achnowledge it
He's the real son of the scullery maid. Goldanna's real brother.

That would be rich! Except he's about 4 years older than Alistair.
I am so, so, so late but Cullen reveal! Josephine reveal! Cullen interview! Josephine interview! They look awesome, sound like awesome characters (and it sounds like Cullen's development is headed in a pretty perfect direction, just judging by the interview?), and (by the power of Greyskull?) I wish this damn game was out already!
