I'm hoping Cullen isn't race-gated. He's already gender-gated, seems sad to make his romance even more restricted.

May Iron Bull will be bi but racegated for dwarves or/& elves? Will be interesting to discover all this in game :P

So now that every character is revealed (party and advisors) .. any idea what would they be releasing next?

Can we hope for a Cullen body pillow as the "bonus content" with our pre-orders?

I was thinking it might Iron Bull, but then I thought we have never had a dwarf romance option, male or female. What if they are fixing that with Varric and Dagna being race gated since it is also story contingent? Help Dagna with X, resolve Varric and Bianca... they explain they can only ever be with a dwarf. I don't think Cullen will be one of them. He seems to have put aside some views and I am guessing the "heathen" one would change just from working with the Inquisitor.

Didn't they say that commoners generally don't have Surnames... or at least, that's what the devs used to say. They may have retconned it.

We already have Hawke with a surname. Aveline has Vallen (who I don't recall if it was her mother's or her father created it, but he was a Commoner at that point).

Personally no matter how tempting it is to always choose my LI's advice(either Josephine's or Cullen's,especially Cullen's),I think I'll eventually choose the option that makes more sense to me.

In my other playthroughs where I won't be playing a SI,I'll also have in mind my Inquisitor's moral code, views and bias, which won't always mean that it will be the right choice,in either case.

Still I'm definitely going to try at least once a clueless Inquisitor, who has no idea what he/she is doing!

I think the if the IB is a LI,he's the most likely to be race-gated.

Well, we still don't entirely know much about how the advisors work, so there's that. Then the rest of the romance options and who's race-gated, then there's the CC... we've still got a little more to come.

Well, we don't know what type of family Hawke's father came from so it could have been noble but since he was a mage he was cut out of it. Plus, Hawke was nobility anyway, thanks to his/her mother who was an Amell. Aveline came from Orlesian nobility.

I don't know if this will help, but it says most people in Fereldan don't have surnames. It's reserved for nobles. http://dragonage.wik...orum:Last_names But that is based off the tabletop RPG handbook. Do we know if Cullen is originally from Fereldan or just moved there when he came to the Circle? The book didn't seem to cover Orlais, so maybe he is from there or the Anderfels?

I hope we at least get a looksie at the CC at the next big gaming convention. I know they probably won't release it for us to have a play with but I want to get an idea of how it works and what changes etc they have made to it as well as being able to see how far we can go with our characters appearance.

I don't think that there's anything about Cullen's past we know except for that he joined the order young.

I have just eaten my way through half a wedge of pickled onion cheddar

It seemed like a good idea at the time...

What with pregnancy cravings and DAI cravings, I'm going to be a mess by October

Ooo are you a Josephine fan too? She is absolutely gorgeous! And I loved the Q&A for her. I didn't think she would be my cup of tea but I have been thoroughly swayed :D

I think the gender-gating speaks against him being race-gated. But I could easily picture him as being race-restricted to humans only, or possibly humans and elves.

Damn, I just ran out of likes. LIKE! I used to crave vanilla ice cream with a sprinkling of tobasco sauce which always ended up bad because the ice cream gave me eczema and the tobasco heartburn. But it was so good at the time :D

EDIT: And like for your Josephine comment!

I didn't think we had heard him say where he was from other than an obligatory remark to Hawke about also being from Fereldan, but that doesn't mean he was born there. My brain did something bad, what if he was from the Anderfels, like Anders. We never did learn much about that area from Anders, other than I think I remember something about it being a bit like Germany/Bavaria. Not sure.

Meh, I'm sure anything he would have told us would have been a lie anyway............. Lol sorry, I'm bitter when it comes to Anders.

Aveline's Noble surname is Du Lac though, not Vallen. The latter is something unrelated to their Noble status.
It's true that Fereldans don't seem to have surname though, so I guess there's high chances there's a story reason for Cullen's surname.

I can't recall if we have heard a female antivan accent before or not? But yes, it is a bonus. Very much so lol

Seems I missed more than just the character reveals. I'm sad to see people are ducking out of the community, but I understand why. It would be difficult to share enthusiasm when there's one aspect of it they can't join in on, and seeing other people gush over the romance while they, themselves, can't... that wouldn't be a good feeling.  :crying:

Still, I love, love, love Josephine! I will need a boy or a girl for her! Not sure which, yet. Maybe a female elf? I don't have a female elf planned quite yet, so maybe I'll make my female elf just for her.

And wow! Eight options!

I'm going to have so many playthroughs for this game. Perhaps even more than one 'canon'!

I feel the need to apologise to those disappointed too, I was one of the ones who was 'certain' Cullen would be bisexual so that everyone would have an NPC option. It seems that didn't work out, though. :(
