Personally, I just hope it's something to do with the Chant and the Inquisitor just stumbles upon him in the Chantry or something. Not at a funeral or anything for us or anyone else, just something for himself and our characters happens to be in the right place at the right time.

...I might just want to save myself from second hand embarrassment, though.

I think singing the Chant at the Divine's funeral would be a good way to have him sing properly using GE's natural vocal talents without it seeming cheesy or weird, it would certainly add atmosphere to the moment that's for sure! Beyond that, I think being serenaded would be too mushy/embarrassing for my tastes.

Y'know, I still reckon that this whole "Cullen singing sweetly" thing is a troll. I'm fully expecting him to get drunk at some point and burst into song really badly, or sing us a crude song he learnt whilst in the Order or something, lol. I think I'd like that better, tbh.

YES PLEASE.

Oh my go I know right? I love Carver! I was telling @anarchy the other day that she had to be nice to him because it is a way better sibling arc than you will ever get with Bethany. And it also helps that he is very easy on the eyes  ;)

So will I. I have never played a male protagonist before but I would rather have Josephine with a Male Qunari than anything else  ^_^  Then there is Sera and IB for me and of course Cullen. I have never been interested in romancing more than one NPC.........untill now *gives Fernis' smolder look*

Carver has to stop acting like the male version of my sisters and I will like him better. Your story helped though. So, that's progress ;)

If he is a farm boy and says As You Wish, your head (and mine) will explode ;)

That would be the most perfect thing! What if his last name is Westley? *starts hyperventilating with the prospect of it all*

Edit: Cullen for top  ^_^

I definitely don't want serenading! My Inquisitor will power walk the hell out of there if he starts serenading.

So long as it's not as random and... uh. Embarrassing as Leliana's random ballad in the middle of the camp in Origins, I think I'll be fine with it. But do they sing the Chant? I kind of think they do, because of Leliana's comment about Val Royeaux: "Unlike other cities, where the people are the life-blood and the character, Val Royeaux was her own person, and her people little more than decorations. There was always music in Val Royeaux, streaming from the many windows--quiet refrains and triumphant choruses. And always, floating above that all, the Chant, coming from the Grand Cathedral. It was magnificent." Although, she may have just meant that above the music you could hear the... chanting of the Chant above it all.

I would be okay if he ended up singing the Chant at the Divine's funeral, or if we just stumble upon him singing or humming to himself while we're walking through the Keep or something. More of an easter egg rather than a full out serenade. >.> I'd probably hide behind my hands if that happened.

Naw, I mean the pointy thing sitting on top of his glove. I took some pictures of it with an arrow pointing to it, lol.

I see. I posted my thoughts about it on the previous page, but then saw theories that it's a ring, and got confused, because what you pointed at was nowhere near any finger =]

I suppose I'm not the only one who will be embarrassing her Inquisitor by making her jump around Cullen to take pictures from all possible angles?
We should ask Jessica Merizan if there will be Cullen's kit, btw. I need it. :)

It helps if you stop to understand where his character is coming from and don't compare him with possible real life equivalents, as that makes it hard to look a his character's motivation from his point of view. :) He is incredibly insecure and struggles with feelings of inadequacy. He feels like an unwanted child, one who can never live up to his older sibling and one that his parents look at with 'Oh, right. We have this other one. Now I remember.'

He also hardly had bonding time with his father, as he was always off training Hawke and then Bethany when she was older, while he was left out. Unwanted in the eyes of a child who only wanted to spend time with his siblings and father.

It's no wonder he grew up with issues, the poor thing. It's why I love his friendship arc + Warden!Carver. He grows, he becomes comfortable and secure with himself, he becomes HAPPY and he rekindles a close bond with his older sibling he never thought he'd have again.

So do I, but his writer confirmed he has a last name lol. I bet it's something daft sounding!

Oh, I must have missed that. All I saw was someone's troll about "Cullen Cullen Cullen" lol  Well, this should be interesting.

For some reason, even though I know GEs voice is amazing, I want Cullen's singing to be dreadful. Like we catch him off guard training or cleaning his armor/weapons & he is totally embarrassed but we get the option to fib and tell him either way we like it.

I would adore this.  Do you think that's too much to hope for? I can see cosplay people wanting it...the outfit is complicated enough to justify it.

That description would be be perfect for the Divine's funeral, very fitting. Wouldn't even need to be the Chant, could be any sort of song that would feel fitting for her send off, really. I presume that there will likely be a funeral we'd need to attend.

I was never quite able to get Carver to 100% friendship, but I came pretty close. I did feel he had more growth than Bethany, at least on the friendship route.

I love him, too.  Not that I dislike Bethany or anything, but they do kinda make you choose between them, and I prefer Carver.  I never really tried to analyze it either.  I appreciate his snark, which says something I guess about my own sense of humor, and I found him to be a compelling character.  I liked having him around.  Simple as that.  B)
