...I'm torn between sending Cullen out on quests now.  Especially this one. I don't fancy "damaging" my first PT with him, but just imagine the story!  The look on Leliana's face at the end though  :crying: I think Cullen would be releasing his inner lion at that point.

Also, is this the first we've heard that the story reacts to which companions come on specific quests?  Or have I missed that?

Who knows? Maybe Cullen will be able to withstand Alexius' attacks and even get an upper hand. He is a Templar after all.

Woah, Leliana.

Right?! I'm so used to sweet giggly Leliana that her snapping at anyone is surprising.

You know I wonder if Cullen would have been a better choice or maybe even Josephine? Like Cullen just busts down the door and it makes it easier. Or is he tortured as well? Hmm interesting.

I like that Sera seems pretty terrified of everything demony and Fadey.

I don't think anyone was having a good day in that demo.

I think this might be a Leliana specific plot thing.

But Leliana was totally walking with the group and having banter with the companions. Cullen's going on a fieldtrip or two, provided he can.

And it's neat that Leliana is affected by what she went through. It'd be a bit hypocritical of to think less of her for being mage-shy after this, since I didn't think less of Cullen for his stint into mage-hatedom.

I think they said that we can choose who to send

Hmm, maybe.  Of course, maybe if we send Cullen in he won't get captured. So many different possibilities with this game.  Eurgh, October needs to come quicker  :pinched:

They did. Cullen would probably fare better than Leliana considering the Templar thing.

Oh, I'm not REALLY critical of her. I was just commenting as I watched-- and was lovin' on Dorian the whole time. DAMN, am I looking forward to that boy.

Did they? Where? I heard ML say we sent Leliana on this mission, but that doesn't necessarily mean that we, the player, had a choice on who to send. This could be a mission for Leliana only. Which means that there's probably a Cullen-only mission out there, as implied by ML tweet a way back.

More as in I think this may be before we recruit her. Like we find her, then **** happens, then she gets tortured and we find her again and later on we say: Hey, become an advisor.

I'm guessing of course. I don't think I can deal with Cullen/Josie getting shot at while I'm forced to stay at some portal. D=

Cullen might fair better, but one Templar is still one Templar. Against a whole keep of mages.

I feel, even knowing what happens, Leliana will still 'feel' like the right choice. Especially if it's presented as a sneaking kind of mission.

I hate to say it in front of many Dorian fans, but dear god I can't stand his voice.

I liked his voice, but his tash....they kind of just stuck it to his cheeks. I would have expected it to stick out on the ends.

I think he's going to be my mage of choice.

Potential main party of choice: Cassandra, Iron Bull, Dorian

(I think I'm going to ask the devs what team these guys are)

That's what I'm thinking as well. I think I heard Alexius say something like, "Where are your assassin's now!?!" during the battle (unless that was Dorian, but I don't think so. I'll have to go back and listen some more.) So I don't think we'd be sending whichever advisor in there alone in this case.

So maybe, if you send Leliana, she takes a few assassin's with her, but they get caught and killed, and she is subsequently tortured. If you send Josephine, maybe she brings a few other diplomats with her to broker an agreement? (Although I don't think that would end well... or maybe she's not an option in this case? Could be possible). And if you send Cullen, then he goes in with his forces (templars? warriors? a mix of both?), and he ends up being the best choice in this situation. Or maybe he also gets captured and tortured. Who knows?

I worry that it might bring back what happened to him at Kinlock, it could end up weakening him.
