Not going to lie. I might have to save the game before sending someone and then take turns sending each of the advisers I want to see what will happen, but I'll keep my first gut choice for my canon...good or bad.

Did you notice Leliana said to the Inquisitor "you're alive" suggesting that something happened that could have got us killed if we weren't such a BAMF!

You know, someone once mentioned earlier in the thread, about how there might be some fade time travelling shenanigans that occur. I'm not sure how I feel about that idea yet, but there's something about how Alexius speaks that could fit into that theory at the very least. Even if it's a stretch. 

 

His answer to the Inquisitor, for instance: 'How many times have I tried? The past cannot be undone." 

 

Also, earlier: "I knew you would appear again. Not that it would be now, but I knew I hadn't destroyed you."

 

And... what if he wasn't calling Dorian his final failure? It sounds more like he's talking to the Inquisitor.

That's what I'm thinking as well. I think I heard Alexius say something like, "Where are your assassin's now!?!" during the battle (unless that was Dorian, but I don't think so. I'll have to go back and listen some more.) So I don't think we'd be sending whichever advisor in there alone in this case. 

 

So maybe, if you send Leliana, she takes a few assassin's with her, but they get caught and killed, and she is subsequently tortured. If you send Josephine, maybe she brings a few other diplomats with her to broker an agreement? (Although I don't think that would end well... or maybe she's not an option in this case? Could be possible). And if you send Cullen, then he goes in with his forces (templars? warriors? a mix of both?), and he ends up being the best choice in this situation. Or maybe he also gets captured and tortured. Who knows?

Yes, it looks like we sent Leliana to assassinate Alexius. And she failed. Sending Cullen with a small army to just take the castle and kill everything that moves seems like a better idea right now.

However we don't know everything. Maybe sending Leliana was not the stupid-ass decision. Maybe sending her unprepared was Maybe we can avoid sending her at all, and say, "Hell, no, that's too dangerous, I'll go there myself! With my team awesome!"

 

OMG, imagine if Leliana is in relationship with a mage Warden?  Imagine the drama.

I totally understand you. Right now i just want to know who the remaining LI are and something more about the CC. Everything else i `ll gladly wait until i play the game. I don`t want spoilers  . But i don`t know if i`ll have the strength to stay away from the forums too.

I'm leaning toward Josephine being the right person, crazy as that sounds. At least if we want the peaceful solution. I'd be too afraid Cullen would relapse into his DAO self.

I think that second one could pretty easily just be

I'm just waiting for the GE video, dangit! I don't even care about the remaining LIs anymore, although I feel pretty sure about who they are so it will be interesting if that's wrong. And since I'm out of town and AFK next week, if that doesn't come out today I might use my travel as a way to force myself to cut myself off tomorrow anyway.

And as for who to send, once something happens in game it's pretty much canon for me, so Cullen rejecting the Inquisitor for being a mage would probably permanently ruin the romance for me. So if it looks like there's even a chance he'll get captured and tortured I'm not going to be able to do it. I think I'll be splitting things pretty evenly among the advisors throughout the game.

Oh, I know his dialogue easily has more mundane explanations. The theory someone mentioned about time travel, as well as that mysterious amulet, just made me go 'huh!' while watching. So just thought I would toss the idea out there.

 

I have no expectations for anything though. I'm completely open for whatever will come our way.

Im pretty sure Iron Bull is one....so I'm guessing the other HAS to be a dwarf. Maybe Dagna is the outside-the-inquisition romance for dwarves? Or Varric. I don't think humans and elves would be race gated to eachother.....*angst*

I don't even know what to think anymore lmao. Personally, I don't think IB but I seem to be in the minority.
