You've seen this, right?
I had NOT seen that. His eyes are so PRETTY.

Uh, yeah. Solas's VA. He's frigging hot. I'm guessing Solas is now the bisexual option numero 2. Which I don't mind. At all.
Why must all the VAs be soo sexy? *whimper*
I am now stuck in infinite indecisiveness between sending in Cullen, because I want to give him as much face time as possible, and NOT sending in Cullen, because I don't want to put my husbando in a position where he will get hurt ;w;
Edit: ToP

Wow, I just watched the trailer - goosebumps! It looks so good! Who is the the Elder One? Leliana is such a hero in the video, I loved the bit where she's speaking the chant while firing, it was so dramatic and apt. I can't wait for October.
I still don't feel like the DAO plotline with Goldana makes any sense anymore! I need clarity and understanding......and someone to make something up so it seems plausible!
Also, I just got to the bit in Raptr where Cullen is straight. Am deploying EMERGENCY CAKE for Artemis!
I think they would have hired a young pregnant woman to work in the castle, as a cover for their story. Maybe she truly did died in childbirth or maybe they had her die in childbirth to corroborate their story. Either way, they had the 'mother' they needed for Alistair.
You guys, I love you and all, but if you're gonna be linking Blue Gillespie, Sugarglass is probably a lot more indicative of their sound. (At least it was MY favorite from them. It was, in fact, the first metal I'd loved that wasn't from the early nineties haha)
Oh God I remember that song well
Thank you for sharing this
I think those who find the situation with Goldanna confusing have to learn not to take everything at face value.I still don't feel like the DAO plotline with Goldana makes any sense anymore!
I'm still undecided between Cassandra and Josephine for my first playthrough. Though I prefer that there are so many likeable LI.
I'm off to the gym now, but I'll probably be back to lurk tomorrow.
Seeing Cullen, hearing about Cullen, seeing Cullen's name, still gets me all worked up
I was at the gym yesterday and Patsy Cline's "Fall to Pieces" came on (my ipod) and I almost started crying because it made me think of my "relationship" with Cullen lol
I know, right? ![]()
I was going through my YouTube history and came across this one: Titled "You Know What I Mean," the singer is Anni-Frid Lyngstad, one of the A's in ABBA (sorry, can't make that first 'B' go backwards).

Alistair believes Goldanna is his sister, so he tells the Warden (and thus you, the player) that Goldanna is his sister. But Alistair is mistaken, because his mother is NOT who he has been led to believe she was.
Yes, there was a scullery maid at Redcliffe, Goldanna's mother, who had a baby. That baby died, but it provided an opportunity for Duncan and Arl Eamon - a lie that would explain the existence of a baby who came from... elsewhere, both to anyone who might inquire about the child, and to the child himself when he grew up. It had to be convincing, so there had to be some truth to it. The scullery maid died in childbirth, and so did her child - what Goldanna was told when she was sent away was the real truth. But Duncan and Arl Eamon lied to others, and claimed that the infant Alistair was the scullery maid's child. They also claimed he was the King's bastard, and that part was true: it gave Eamon a reason to keep the child around rather than sending him to an orphanage.
If you've only ever played the games and chosen not to engage in any of the other media, the story about Alistair's mother being a scullery maid - a story Alistair HIMSELF still believes is true - is the truth to you, and that's okay! But fans who have read the novels and other supplementary material know some things about Alistair's parentage that are never brought up in Dragon Age Origins.
I've read the lot, comics, books and lore material. I'm DA obsessed. ![]()
I think that there is a definite contradiction in the lore presented currently and although there could be any number of explanations for the discrepancy, I'd appreciate it being explained in game or by someone official. I actually think that they just further developed the story and decided to change his parentage at some point but for story consistency, I think it warrants an explanation.
I don't want to have to head canon away inconsistencies - I prefer those people responsible for the narrative make this stuff up for me. ![]()

Well, they said last week that there were no half-elves in Thedas, which explains Alistair. That seems pretty canon to me. LOL

If you think there is a contradiction, I'm not really sure what else to say. To me, the situation is cut and dry. Alistair was intentionally misled as to his parentage, ostensibly for his own protection. There is the truth, and there is what Alistair believes to be the truth. As I said, to a lot of people, the truth isn't really important - they don't know Fiona from one of those low res elves in Lowtown in DA2 - and they shouldn't be derided for taking Alistair's word at face value when there wasn't really any other way TO take it.
Hi everyone! It's Cassie -Kirrrahe's official news reporter!
Sorry for the late update-we have been busy!
I haven't been on to let you know how things are going but so far he is still in stable condition. He still gets seizures and is having a hard time with things like how high his temperature gets, trouble with his memory and sever nausea and headaches. The doctors all say none of these are a life threatening issue so he is now in the stage of psychical therapy and Occupational therapy! So he is making big, big progress!
He says hello to everyone and hopes you are all doing great. I don't know if Eric can read the thread but if you CAN he loves the picture you made him. It's literally his laptop background!
Also for some happy/sweet news his partner actually got his very FIRST tattoo that says "I'm in love with a man that hold the line"
Also any big news since the Cullen reveal? I haven't kept up and I need to keep Kirrahe's happy folder big!

Here's the links for the demo parts that have been released (under the spoiler tag). Other than that, Potato pretty much covered it
And, it's really great to hear that Kirrahe is doing well!

Oh! They also told us Sera's and Solas' voice actors!! Robyn Addison is Sera and Gareth David-Lloyd is Solas! Oh! And the voices for the inquisitors: Sumalee Montano (American female), Jon Curry (American male) and Harry Hadden-Patton (British male)!
"So it’s really very complex, about how much control the players have over the types of content. And as I was saying before, that whole demo you saw, in the last half of it, when you’re fighting with Alexius and Felix, not all the players are going to see that, because going into that area is the result of a branching choice in the game. So you may have picked another area and you wouldn’t be going into that castle at all, you’d be going somewhere else entirely."
So It appears that tortured Cullen may not happen depending on our choices.

How many times are we going to have to play this thing in order to see it all? ![]()
