Please elaborate on why Cullen and Adolf Hitler go into the same category. There are people in this thread who have never even played the FemMageWarden origin. I could write a book about why I like Cullen's character, but, I will condense it, for your sake. Cullen shows remarkable courage and resilience. He shows great courage when standing up to Meredith and standing up for those mages in Act 3 of DA2. And shows great resilience when he is the only one left when all his fellows fell in DAO. His character is shown to be extremely adaptable, and can be taken mostly anywhere by the writers for DAI.

/agree with Kat completely about why he's such a great character!

 

I understand coming and seeing whats going on in a popular thread but if you don't like it, why keep reading and posting? I'd just leave a thread if I'm not enjoying the content etc *shrugs*

I'll take that at face value and tell you that essentially calling us creeps is offensive. You may find our fixation on Cullen unsettling but we're allowed to have it just as you're allowed not to. And making gross generalizing statements about how Cullen's stutter must have wooed us all is also offensive. For my part, i found Cullen to be a promising moderate mind that tragically morphed into a sad, lame dog who would probably be better off put out to pasture. Since I mostly play rogues and warriors, his "crush" wasn't even a thing for me until late. And it was weird since I already knew what happened to him. DA2 changed a lot about my view of him. There are many reasons any one of us could have for liking him - some platonic - but you won't "get it" if you don't want to.

So my friend and I are just waiting for Bioware to drop the bomb so we finally know if we can romance Cullen and Varric with our respective Dwarf and Human Inqs... The wait is torture. xD We constantly angst over it (even in the train... people are giving us weird looks).

Inquisitor: *narrows eyes and walks away. Comes back a few seconds later with a jug of water, which she upturns over his head.* "Oh no Cullen! I am so sorry! I'm just so clumsy today... it looks like you'll have to take off your clothes so you can get cleaned off... right now."

With all due respect...once you blatantly insult an entire group of people and then Have the audacity compare the character of which said group is discussing to a real life infamous (quite frankly not even the smallest bit funny) and extremely hated war criminal that had caused the torture and slaughter of thousands....don't expect pleasant responses.
