It was. The cross bow was actually CREATED by a dwarven woman named Bianca. In the comics, it seem like Varric and Bianca were in love and trying to get out of the merchant's guild. She either couldn't make it, was caught, whatever, and they were separated.

Good morning from the Netherlands everyone! Did I miss anything important since yesterday?
I think (or I'd like to think) that Cullen isn't racegated, having thought about everything he'd known all his life and realizing it's not right to condemn everyone who doesn't follow what he follows.
As for my pairings?
Cullen/Female Dwarf Rogue (durr)
Josephine/Female Qunari Mage
Varric/Female Human Warrior (if possible... :S)
Vivienne/Female Elf Rogue (if possible)
The rest is yet unplanned. I do plan to romance everyone in the long run.

I can't wait to put Iron Bull with my Female Qunari. She is going to be the complete opposite of him--refined and elegant and very feminine with a bit of snobby, sarcastic snark when she wants to put someone in their place. I think I'm in love with her which is weird because if I head-cannoned that personality with any other race I would hate them, but for me it just works for my qunari who is a lady above all else
I'm still thinking on my pairings, but I usually just dive right in and let things develope to see which character ends up with who.

um...idk. cullen does not need to look quite so...hard. or rather, quite so much like he's still recovering from an all night drunken stupor.
this one...idk..he's a lil puffy. or maybe his nose is too far away from his mouth. for me. it's just his nose is a lil too high up. (and yes, i've reloaded and restarted a game just because of such things on my PC--so it's kinda a thing for me.)
otherwise.....meh. i really don't like drunkenstupor!Cullen up there.

Umm, thats me... was a nightmare in DA2 I'll go through the intro SOOO many times and then go "nope don't like that" and have to re-do my character over and over again.
I get what you're saying though. I was like that at first and to me they're not his nicest pics but they're growing on me esp since irl not everyone looks great all the time and from every angle so I just try to look at the pretty ones for now lol

Well he definitely looks a little older and his skin isn't as line free as it was which doesn't bother me at all. I think lighting comes into play on these two shots as well. His facial expressions I like, he looks like he is about to kick some ass. I think he is hot either way though

I assign numbers to all the factors involved (1-8 for romances for example) and then roll dice using the D&D online dice roller. It allows me to assign the numbers I need in it. 
I'm very happy with the LI options so far! I keep changing my pairings but I think I'll be going with this;
Female qunari mage/ Cullen: She's an honorable knight enchanter who lives by a code. While stern and serious on the outside she harbors a terrible secret crush on Cullen. She has no fear when it comes to facing dragons and demons but fears being alone with the handsome former templar XD. She tries to control her feelings for the sake of her duty but still acts so awkward around him.
Cullen: Inquisitor I was hoping we could speak more tomorrow. There are still some things I'll need to go over with you, if you don't mind.
Inquisitor: Very good. I'll take what you can give me.
Cullen: *blink*
Inquisitor:...ADVICE!...*cough* I'll take whatever advice you can give me. *awkward silence* Goodnight Cullen

Human female rogue/ Varric: She's mad Even sera and Iron bull have to worry about her dangerous love for traps and explosives. Nothing makes her more happy than watching her foes blow up on the battlefield. She's likes to solve problems with her cunning , always trying to outsmart people and enemies. Despite this, she is a very caring and friendly person , most of all she's incredibly inquistive. She loves solving things, whether it's her survival, her new fade powers or the secrets of her companions. She likes to work things out so it makes sense that she is drawn to one of the most closed off and secretive companions on her team. She'll get Varric to talk even if she unknowingly falls in love with him in the process.
I'll need to think about the other two pairings in more detail but I'm probably going with
Female necromancer elf/ Sera: A sweet, gentle girl who raises the dead. Despite her horrifying powers, she's actually naive and a bit sheltered , sort of like Merrill.
Female dwarf warrior/ IB: She likes a challenge, that includes her romances XD.
