I don't know how it manages to levitate while I'm sleeping but I wake up with some weird spikes-ringlets combination, and everything is on the very top of my head

Y'all need to tell my mother where to get this soft wool. Maker knows my skin would appreciate it.

I don't know what they do to the sheep hair after they shave the poor animal, but weird things happen. For example, I'm ok with sheep fur, but allergic to the wool. I have theories, but that would be such a huge OT, lol  

I suggest donating the sweaters to a prison, that's what I'm going to do.

Because there's Josephine and maybe Viv and I'm going to have to eventually roll a man for Dorian and Cass and..

 

The qunari was the first one I came up with and not really for Cullen specifically. I wanted to create as un-special a Inquisitor as I could. I think deep down she'd like to do things like side with Celene and lead Orlais to a cultural renaissance but she learned early on the world was a hard place. She's sour and cold, but never cruel to her friends. She'll save the world by any means necessary. Thing is, the other options seem way too nice. Or are Iron Bull.

 

Dwarf is more speculative and loosely based on the Dwarf Commoner I swear I will eventually play when I get sick of Dwarf Noble. Since she's a surface dwarf, I imagine she'll have tangential ties to the Merchant Guild and Carta. She's trying to put all that behind her now and be a straight arrow, especially since she's now responsible for so many. I had a flash of a fic idea where Cullen is suffering early-stage lyrium withdrawal and she goes back to her carta contacts to get some.

I think Cullen's militarist and practical outlook will mesh well with your qunari idea! At the same time, I don't see why he couldn't mesh with that dwarf idea, either! 

 

I could also see that dwarf also working well with Varric, if he's a gated option... or Iron Bull?

I'm late for the discussion about the "fluffy" part of Cullen's armor.

I can't believe I didn't think about it before, but what about sheep? Has that been said? Icelandic sheep can have black fur and it is long.

I have to respectfully disagree. I have a jumper that is made out of 100 % sheep wool. It's not really that soft.

 

The problem is that it's hard to tell how soft the thing on Cullen's armor really is. A lion mane could work but sheep wool might be more likely. It's easier to get  .  Personally, I also thought that it was something feathery. Just look at it: It's quite long and some of it ends are a bit pointy. It reminds me of this stola:

I don't think it's feathers. I think they just couldn't make it look exactly like fur because polygons.

Edited to add: Yes, we could ask the dev ('cause we don't seem to be obsessed enough yet). Just kidding. I would actually like to hear an answer because it's amazing how much time I spent wondering about this.

I've asked Nick Sadler, he's big on textures and stuff so (in theory) he'd know what it's supposed to be.

I asked him privately, just in case it's not something we're supposed to know for whatever reason. I'll check to see if I can tell you if he tells me what it is.

That romance panel gave me all kinds of hopes for how things will playout/work. I can not wait to have this game installed! I feel we'll really be able to develop our Inquisitors. Much more than previous Bioware games.

 

Really looking forward to that reaction wheel and stuff!
