Yeah, it was explained, simply and plainly, why it would be inappropriate. The only real discussion I think you can glean from this is whether or not David was as clear as he could have been when writing Asunder. In my last reading session, there was a simile he used to describe Cole's frustration or something and it was something like 'like a child with their face pressed up against a window'. And to me, the way it was phrased implied he was older than a child to me.

 

Yep that's the only issue I have with the whole situation. It wasn't clear to everyone who read the novel what state Cole was in; it was clear to some, but not all. I think DG handled it in a... less than classy way But we're all kind of used to that from him. Good ole PW has cleared things up in a really nice way.

 

As with my wouldbe Cullen-mance, I can move on This one's slightly less difficult though *cough* lol

I think I might go with qunari for Josephine. Haven't really decided on a gender yet, but qunari/Antivan politician who is a complete babe seems pretty workable. And I like making things difficult... and think of the problems that could arise from her having a qunari partner! 

 

Which means the hint that romancing Iron Bull could cause issues that 'leave a dent'.... almost tempts me to go with him first playthrough.

I'm mean to the characters I adore out of love! And that includes the characters I create. None of my Inquisitors are gonna get it easy on my watch!

Oh my, don't even mention the origins.  I went for the Cousland as my first one and so was scarred within the first half hour or so of gameplay.  I think that's what got me hooked haha.  That, and it reminded me of a less tactical version of Neverwinter Nights -my first (RPG) love .  Honestly, anything that I can use to develop my character, be it more angst or whatever.  

 

Don't get me started on the 'former lover' thing as well.  I was so shocked after Dairren died.  I was just like  also, "how quickly can people put armour on?!"  When it comes to Bioware I'm a bit of a masochist.  Maybe it's because I'm not usually impacted emotionally very easily and these games have me literally sobbing like a 5 year old into a pillow and slinking into a bout of sadness for a few hours.  

 

On topic however, I'm listening to Starlight Express at the moment, and I'm seriously looking forward to Cullen singing to us.  Greg can certainly reach those high notes.  I'm impressed 

 

Oh gosh, the Cousland origin... luckily, I'm used to Bioware games, so I when I started playing Origins I was expecting emotional turmoil, but then I ran into my dad, and Rory, and then my mom, and by the time I got my dog I had put two and two together and I was like, "OH GOD! THEY'RE ALL GOING TO DIE, AREN'T THEY!?!?? ...DOES MY DOG DIE? OH GOD THIS IS AWFUL. DDDDDDD:"

 

And then when I found Oren and he was all like, "Will I ever get to learn to use a sword, Father?" and then Fergus was like, "Ohhh, you'll be getting to see a sword soon enough son." I knew.

So I'm playing Soldier's Peak and Levi says "our stock were lions." So Cullen is now a Dryden in my headcanon until the game smashes it to bits.

Ooooh, I would totally LOVE if Cullen was a Dryden! They are pretty much commoners now, and they have a lot of family angst, but at the same time they are a really badass family. I can see Cullen being one of them Becoming a templar could be his idea of restoring the family honor.
Edit: or it could be his attempt to get away from his family to become his own person, like in Carver's case.

I already commissioned her for one sketchcard of a female human Inquisitor with Cullen, and I'm sure I will go for more once the game is released and all models are final

I also really want a sketchcard of my Hero of Ferelden with King Alistair, but I'd like to use the King Alistair and Grey Warden Mage designs from Heroes of Dragon Age... and clear shots of those fourth-tier characters are hard to come by.
