Severus Snape.

He always put me off because he reminds me of Severus Snape.

...

Yep. That explains it for me too now. D=

Me either, if I'm honest, but I would have thought I'd have warmed to him as a character... Hmmm... May need to get Origins out again

Freddie singing as Sean Connery would be funny

Gareth David-Lloyd should be able to sing :) I'm stereotyping horribly but the Welsh are known for having great singing voices :)

X-Men, X2 and Last stand have all been consigned to the raging inferno that is my hate for what was done to Rogue, Jean Gray and the damn timeline. They are anathema to me.

I do quite like First Class and Future Past though, but yeah....Channing Tatum <_<

I foresee more X-Men rage in my future.

I have watched each movie once, I then went and set fire to each movie theater I watched them in..............

Ahhh nah, I'm done with those movies. I haven't seen the new one and don't plan to unless my partner physically restrains me and forces me too. I hate everything about them......EVERYTHING. Oh, let's just give Emma Frost her third stage of mutation when she is a teenager -- yeah, that sounds legit.

Nawww, he fed the wardens mabari treats? I always went stabbity stabbity stab stab stab on him. I must see this.......

That one little thing has completly changed my opinion on Loghain. Screw Cullen! :P

No wait, Cullen, come back! I didn't mean it!

So, it's been a long day......

Yeah he tells the dog stories too about his own mabari who died :(

Theres also the really cute story anora tells of him destroying his wifes roses.

You really shoul recruit him at least once too see what he has to say, i found his humour hilarious. I think it helps if you know that loghain really didnt see the darkspawn threat as a blight, but considered the orlesians chevaliers on the border the more genuine threat. And that his poisoning of eamon was never supposed to be fatal (sadly that never got mentioned in the game), hes quite frank and open about admitting his mistakes and wanting to make up for it.

I have to admit... I have never EVER allowed Loghain to live....

To me, as misguided as he was, I felt like his crime was too grave to allow him too.... oh yeah plus you know, Alistair!

You have convinced me, I shall recruit Loghain the next time I play. Its the same argument I have for DA2, you have to side with the Templars at least once to get the content you wouldnt get if siding with the mages.

I can't forgive him for leaving half of Ferelden's army to die... he doesn't like Cailan's plans, suck it up he's king, don't like it take it to landsmeet or whatever lol

EDIT: I could try I suppose... actually I should. Maybe I would see him another way.

I actually liked Loghain from the one time I requited him. He's not a bad man, he just went about everything completely the wrong way and let his hatred of the Orlesians get the better of him (which is understandable given what they done to him). Gaspard reminds me of the Orlesian version of him, in a way... which is why I'm not putting him on the throne!

I was thinking a lot why would Cullen be a good choice to command our armies, because at first it's not obvious. Until you remember about the Exalted Marches. That's what Chantry trains their templars for! Every templar officer must be ready to lead an army against heretics, so Cullen must be a military expert indeed. Maybe he doesn't have much field experience, but he should have all the knowledge, and he has experience with Kirkwall templars instead, and that should be enough. To be fair, there weren't any big military conflicts in the Southern part of Thedas recently, so every military expert would have little field experience. Except maybe Loghain, who is probably dead, or left for his Calling, so he's not an option.

I almost always spare Loghain. My preferred origin is Dwarf Noble, so it's really hard to work up any moral outrage over anything he did. And he's a sword I can use against the darkspawn.

Plus, in his interview it says that he'll do right by his/our troops, so it's not like he's gonna kill first and ask questions later. He's not gonna put the soldiers into needless danger. Like it says "he expects a lot of himself and the Inquisition" so he's definitely going to (at least try) to do things right.

All this talk about the X Men movies made me think: If Cullen were a character from the movie what kind of mutant would he be? What abilities would he have? And woud he be on team Magneto or team Xavier?

You would think that to some degree templars would have some study on the theory of warfare and strategy, no? Maybe they have war games?

Okay, okay- important question coming up:

Which of our companions/advisors can you most see Cullen singing a duet with? And which song? it can be a drinking song, a rhyme, or a ballad- anything

He's team Xavier because he's all about protecting people. He needs super strength and strong mental resistance, maybe a power-nullifying power? Thus: he is X-Templar in more ways than one
