I wouldn't mind getting a good grasp on Blackwall.

Darn I was too slow

About Nikolai... as Jamie, he's a pretty boy, and hence totally unattractive to me. Then I saw him in Oblivion...

If it's the one with Jeremy Renner narrating, I can't do that because A: Renner B: I heard the running out of the Collector Base music from Mass Effect 2 on that and squeed like a total dork.

If it was WWI, I would've advised you to play Valiant Hearts.

Send them my way, I eat WWII documentary for lunch! =]

I got a bit inspired by the talk about Cullen bringing children to the Circle, and wrote a little fic about my Trevelyan v 2.0. It doesn't have Cullen in it, but there's another Knight-Captain, who was kind of inspired by this "fake Cullen" image:

Bearded_General02_zps77b00fd4.jpg

Edit: lol, I wonder if that's the image Lola talked about - DA3 Cullen v 1.0, the one who looked too old, and Liz Lehtonen and other BioWare Cullenites demanded to make him younger and hotter?

Seriously, I just can't pretend to be interested anymore. I have been watching WWII documentaries for 13 years. I just... I just cant. And no, there is no Jeremy Renner.

The worst thing is, my boyfriend treats every one of them like a history lesson.
A) I don't care how kinky taboo it is, youre not my teacher and I'm not your student.
B ) I know all of this already!!!!!!

I LOVE history! Although not really modern...

I'm thinking along the line of your fanfic Gala, that human mage is disowned by the family but has a friendly templar thats nice to them. Thought for me I still think things will get messed up the older she gets and by the time she meets Cullen, she's not too impressed he's an ex-templar.

Thats what I feel like for my mage quizzy... not sure if she'll romance Cullen, depends if he can handle the heat lol

Naw Gala, I loved it. The fathers reaction broke my heart but I the Knight Captain was lovely. I hope there are some nice Templars that go out to bring children back to the circle.

I think there would be a lot of nice templars out there but with anything it only takes a few. I also think power over another person(s) sometimes goes to people's heads and take advantage of that. I can imagine them sending old wiser templars to collect the children

I had a little withdrawal today not being able to check the thread at work lol

Wynne describes the Templars who took her to the circle when she was a little girl. One of them sounded like an utter sweetheart, letting her ride on his shoulders and such (if I remember rightly.)

I believe there's actually an experiment that took place that was about that-- I can't remember the name or details for the life of me, but they put one group of people in charge of another in a prison type scenario, and the group who were the guards.... turned abusive to keep 'bad behaviour' in check disturbingly quickly.

What I mean is there is professional-nice and then nice-nice. I want Nice-nice :D The way he drained her of her powers though was really quite gentle, it made me sad.

I'm on here far too much lol but its winter and too cold to go out much.

Wasn't it so she could see over a wall they walking past? Yeah that to me just pinches at the heart. There is nothing hotter or more lovely to see or hear about than a man being an absolute sweetheart to a kid *sigh*

Yeah it's the Stanford Prison Experiment. http://en.wikipedia....ison_experiment I watched a documentary on it and it is amazing how quickly everything went bad.

Yes! It was because of that!

Man, it makes me so sad we've never had a moderate nice Templar companion who's been in the order for a while. We really need that side of the story.

They weren't real guards/prisons? just normal folk?

Kinda reminds me a little of Lord of the Flies as well... how quickly everything changed and went bonkers.

Well, Mori will surely meet all kinds of templars in the Circle. It won't be too easy with Cullen, like "You remind me of that awesome man who brought me to the Circle, and he drained my mana so smoothly I didn't even got a headache! Take me now!" No, there will be some angst there :) I just don't have the impression that all templars are crazy monsters. Most templars we met in DAO (except maybe Rylock) were ok. And in DAII Bethany says that the majority of templars in the Gallows were normal people, except a bunch of creeps like Alrik. Bad people however impress more than the good ones, so no wonder there is a belief that templars are evil. Well, some probably are, and others are not, and Mori will learn that eventually, and I think she will be indifferent to the fact that Cullen was a templar. Because she gets it, that all people are different, and templars are people too.

Thank you! I liked Wynne's story :) I think most templars are trying to be, if not kind, then at least professional with children. Besides, Trevelyans are a noble family, with some power and influence, and I think that's why a high ranking templar was sent for their kid: to show respect, and avoid any unnecessary drama. And maybe to get a generous donation to the Order, lol :)

There we go! It really is... interesting (and sometimes disturbing) how different scenarios affect the behaviour of people who might otherwise be completely civil, well-adjusted individuals.

So do I. A Templar that's has been in the order for years and has keept all their humanity intact. Hasn't been corrupted in the least by their position of power of others and hasn't been jaded by what mage COULD do. It would be nice.
